The Waterside Restaurant and Bar in North Ayrshire

Was there for my 70th birthday party. The staff were very good and friendly. The service and food was good. Will definitely be back in the near future. Thanks to everyone who was there.

Came here for drinks originally as we had a dog with us but we were able to eat inside with a dog, so decided to eat too.Staff were lovely from the start, really pleasant and friendly.Lovely seating, cleaned between people. Drinks were lovely, had the Waterside cocktail, absolutely delicious!And the food - great presentation, nice and hot, very fresh.Highly recommend the haggis and Black Pudding bon bons.Great if you're looking for good food, comfy seating and have a pup!

The Waterside is a lovely quiet hotel.Great views of the beach and suroundings. Rooms are fantastic and beautifully clean. We ate in the hotel at night, plenty of choice. Staff waiting on were friendly,just needed a little more training re food.Would definitely visit again if in area.

Staff are excellent, venue was nice. Big problem if you're having a function and you're band keeps cutting out because of sound limiter! This problem would kill any party, anyone thinking about a wedding ext should be told about this it's a total killer.

Staff Kieran & Eve) were friendly and very efficient. Food was excellent (eventually) veg was cold when served with steak pie, staff remedied it very quickly. Excellent variety on menu. Would certainly visit here again.

I watched the Waterside Inn being built over 40 years ago. As we live locally we have had no occasion to stay there until now. When our power went off a week ago we tried to stay at home, but on Wednesday we threw the towel in and checked into the hotel. We asked for a ground floor room close to a door as my older dog can no longer manage stairs. That is what we got. The room is spacious spotlessly clean,warm and very comfortable. Ditto the beds- neither too hot nor too cold. The food - vegan in my case- is excellent, far better than I have had in hotels more grandiose and pretentious than this. The grounds are superb for our 2 large dogs, but what really makes the place so good is the staff many of whom have been here a very long time. Friendly, pleasant and effective, this is one of the most relaxing and enjoyable hotel breaks we have had- despite the circumstances which brought us here in the first place. Many thanks to all for a great stay.

It was OK as far as good goes. Nothing mind blowing to be honest was it worth £25 for 2 courses if I'm honest no not really. There is a lot of choice and the surroundings are very nice but the food was on a par with a lot of places around the £15 to 20 for 2 courses. Get the feel the prices are an attempt to hit targets missed last year.

The hotel, location and staff were brilliant. We stayed with our 2 young children and they loved the room especially the whirlpool bath! The breakfast was lovely the only thing stopping me giving 5 stars was the evening food, just wasn't the standard I was expecting. We would stay again but maybe eat somewhere else in the evening.

Our son and daughter in law were married at the Waterside Hotel last week. We stayed for two nights, with family, friends, the couples dog and an elderly gran in a wheelchair. The rooms were fantastic, with good soundproofing. Room 306 is excellent for people in a wheelchair, fully disabled compliant, with a large wet room and plenty of room to move about. Dogs are welcome, in some rooms, with bowls and treats left for them. The views from the rooms we had, was amazing. The couple had the spa room, which had a sauna, jacuzzi as well as the bedroom, lounge and three balconies. It was perfect for the girls getting ready on the wedding day. The food was great, from breakfast to the wedding dinner, with large portions. Everything about the wedding was perfect, from the service, photographs in the garden and on the beach, the reception and party after. The couple were very impressed at the quality of the entire event, for the price paid. A very special thank you must be made to every single member of staff, who were the most professional, helpful and friendly you could ever wish to meet. Our family would not hesitate to recommend the Waterside Hotel for a wedding or a simple meal out.
