Auld Acquaintance Cafe (International Fusion Food) in South Ayrshire

If your in girvan, go and try these guys they do a range if different foods from around the world, and always have a special on. They work so hard just the two of them from early until really late,they welcome you in and are very attentive, 20 mins before closing time the chef welcomed 2 guys in with open arms, with no thought to he would defo be shutting late which I thought was amazing. He comes out personally to make sure your meal is enjoyable and what you expect. We left full it's not expensive either your spend more at the chippy. A wide selection of home baked cakes and cookies unfortunately I was too podged for a nything else had to undo my Jean's to walk home. Support these little businesses if your about rather than the big ones as the service attention to detail and good food will outweigh those everytime.

Fantastic, the friendly couple running the place couldn't have done more to make us welcome. Our every need was catered for, including gluten free. All the food was freshly prepared and tasted great, we were spoiled for choice.Now we've found this gem, we will be eating there regularlyVery highly recommended.

Prior to arriving in the town we looked at where to eat. This cafe looked interesting so we had dinner there on our first day. We had the Thai style duck with noodles and thoroughly enjoyed it. Owners were friendly with just the right amount of conversation and left us to enjoying our meal. Cafe offers up the usual meals as well as fusion so it really is a nice mix. We plan to go back, no doubt about it.

Really great place. We were holidaying in Girvan and went to have lunch. The food was amazing. Tasty and fresh. The chef personally came and talked to us and explained the menu and made a few changes based on our requirements. The hospitable nature of the couple who is running the place give a personal touch to the whole experience. We really enjoyed our meal and recommend this place to everyone.

An excellent place for food. Korma to die for, reasonable pricing and homely atmosphere. Don't be put off by the decor, Delphina and Augustine will welcome you in and look after you. Gorgeous food, great portions and a lovely way with my family. Give them a visit, it will be well worth it!

What a gem! There are many places that say “homemade food” but this is definitely the most authentic and good tasting home made meal I have had in a restaurant. The owner has chosen this random little town to live his dream, which is to make people happy with his cooking skills. And he has absolutely achieved that. The ingredients are fresh, even the mayonnaise is home made and the taste is wonderful. I would even stretch it that far to say that you can taste the passion and the love the meals are prepared with.I came passing by on the way south from Glasgow and I will make the detour again. Visit this restaurant and it will make your day!

Absolutely amazing, made to order food, all home cooked. Wife and Husband making it big in Girvan. Their menu is so diverse and open l day from 8.30am for breakfast till late!They serve fantastic home-made cake and all .eals can be edited to suit the needs of others. They have a wide variety of vegetarian dishes as well as meat lovers!The owners are so friendly and make you feel just at home.We loved it!Thank you
