Balkenna Tea Room in South Ayrshire

Stopped at this dog friendly cafe (inside & out) on the way to Girvan. My husband stated it’s one of the best pies he’s ever eaten (steak&haggis)! The sweet chilli wrap was good too 😀

Good selection of hot and cold food, cakes, all day breakfast. Ample parking. Good views out across the water to Ailsa Craig. Fully dog friendly, service was good.

What a lovely tea room. Really nice man served us nothing was too much trouble .The food was excellent, plenty of choice on the menu. The establishment was very clean and the view of the sea spectacular. Would definitely recommend.

Staff are absolutely brilliant. Food is great and plentiful. Wonderful place to have a meal and as a bonus (if quiet) is pet friendly. Will eat here often 5 star without a doubt.

Just stopped off at this great little tea room. Lovely and clean, table service, nothing too much trouble and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal! If we’re up this way again, we’ll definitely call in. Thank you.

We had Cajun Chicken Pasta with Garlic bread which was very nice. We also had two latte coffees which , to be honest, had very little coffee in them and tasted just like hot milk. I asked the chap behind the counter to add some more coffee in each cup, which he did, and it was sorted.

Came across this place on our way to Ayr and what a find. Roadside but off road parking. Pet friendly - your pet can sit with you. Good varied menu including vegetarian choices. Very friendly and helpful staff who provided quick and efficient service. Would highly recommend and will certainly be back.

Nice views, indoor & outdoor seating plus a kids play area. Only had coffee ☕ it was fine.

Excellent breakfast, service great.lovely girl serving. Toilets had free personal items for ladies. Would highly recommend
