I WOULD GIVE NO STARS BUT GOOGLE WONT ALLOW IT.Absolutely awful place. My partner and I had booked for a late lunch with my daughter and when we arrived the place was practically empty, perhaps two other tables. However, staff proceeded to sit us in what could only be described as the forgotten part of the restaurant. We ordered drinks and both our colas tasted like they had half a pool in them, could only taste chlorine. When it came to ordering, I hadn't had a chance to look at the menu as I was helping my toddler with her choice of food so asked if the waitress could return shortly for myself and my partner to order. She never appeared back. Over half an hour later, I had to walk round to a gathering of staff to ask if we could order, where I recieved back chat. After this, our order was taken. We ordered a sharing platter to start, which was not by any means a sharing platter, one person could have ate it. For a main, I ordered macaroni cheese which was heavily seasoned with rosemary or thyme, disgusting. My partner ordered a macaroni burger, which had completely different macaroni from what I had been served and the burger itself was overcooked and chewy. When we were waiting to pay, 2 staff members were discussing a customers order; "He says he wont cook what they've ordered unless they pay extra." When staff member 1 asked who staff member was talking about, staff member 2 replied, "I dont know, the head chef or someone." As a customer, it's off putting that waiting staff do not know who is cooking the food. Luckily, my daughters food and drink seemed to be decent. Absolute shambles of a place and do not have the excuse of being busy. Staff created nothing but an unwelcome atmosphere. You would need to light a firework up their **** to get an sort of shift in them. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Decided to pop in to this Brewer fayre early afternoon with my wife and 2 children. Booked in advance, however there was no need as the restaurant was pretty empty, only the odd couple of tables being occupied. Staff member greeted us on arrival and took us to our table, so far so good apart from some crumbs under our table which i thought seemed odd as they had just opened for lunch 🤔. As we settled in and began to order lunch we spotted on their ordering site that several items were of the menu which limited our choice a little, We ordered online and a few minutes later the server arrived at our table to tell us that we need to order at the bar, my wife stated she had already processed our order online. The server informed her that in future we would need to place the order at the bar. I was a bit confused by this as our table and every other table around us had identical barcode ordering stickers on them, with instructions on how to order online. She proceeded to then take our order again at the table. Approx 10 min later our meals arrived. Not as warm as I would have expected but acceptable I suppose. I politelyAsked why their was an option clearly labled on the table to carry out an online order, she apologised and informed me that she had no clue,. I would suggest in order to avoid further confusion with customers that this restaurant remove their bar code ordering facility if they prefer customers to order at the bar or at the very least inform customers on arrival how best to place their order. Would also be a better experience if carpets were properly cleaned between breakfast service and lunch.

Was recommended by a friend.as had soft play for my our little one I wasnot expecting High class meal but the food was absolutely discusting spent most night having keep telling me brother be quiet and not be rude -0 when really I was feeling the exact same but didnot want seem disrespectful.waited ages for our dirty plates be taking away finally after 4 time of asking for deserts we got them was getting stage I was ready just leave like said my brother least we’ve been and know not go back.wish went just normal day rather than Valentine’s Day just totally waste of money and disheartened night could made better microwave meal

The food was poor and dry. My wife had the beef and ale pie, three tiny pieces of beef was all there was. The service was unacceptable at the best.

Stacey served our meal which was delicious. Well presented. Staff excellent. Quiet peaceful surroundings. Just what we needed. Thankyou to all xx

Had a lovely lunch here, so safe with covid practices. Shown to table and drinks ordered and brought with our lovely food. We haven't visited this establishment for at least 20 years and although Brewster Bear is not on the scene anymore causing mayhem, we were made to feel very welcome by the lovely Elaine who looked after us. All the staff we spoke to also very friendly and inviting. Was actually lovely watching the staff interact with their customers. Will pop in again very soon for another super lunch time meal..I sincerely hope manager/management appreciate their hard working staff. Brewster would be a happy bear.

I am a regular in here, and I was in yesterday (17th october) for lunch, food wasn't nice, it was cold and presentation was terrible. but the thing that really annoyed us as customers was when one of your staff members finished her shift and sat and had lunch with her friend, then when she was leaving said 'tell Lee to guest promise that' us not knowing what guest promise meant so I looked it up and basically your staff members got the manager to void off her lunch after she had ate it! and her friends! absolutely terrible if you ask me! Will not be back in here

Had a great breakfast here on Tuesday 5th October. Staff were very pleasant and made sure everyone in our group (4 adults & 5 kids) had everything we needed. Food was delicious and we were all stuffed when we left. Will definitely visit again. Many thanks 🙂
