Excellent restaurant, just about found us a table for two on a busy Saturday night without booking. The scallops were perfect, the sea bass was great and the potatoes and vegetables were also excellent. Staff very welcoming too. Will definitely visit again next time we are in Troon.

Hi we delivered food to lidos. I had a really nice breakfast the staff were excellent and very professional. Nice decorated and spotless. Especially the kitchen. The food is well presented and a good portion .a great selection of different foods and drinks .I'm in a lot of dinners and restaurants and high class hotels .I would highly recommend lidos if in the area.

We had a lovely time here! Ignore the clearly competitor-left trip advisor reviews-- Lido is great. Wonderful, attentive, polite and kind staff, tasty food that arrived in good time, delicious drinks and a great atmosphere. We arrived about to be placed next to a particularly rowdy group (expected due to the town center location!), and when we asked to be moved to a quieter place for our family dinner, the staff immediately accommodated. I can't praise them highly enough. So nice, friendly, offering to take a photo of us, so on top of our requests and drinks etc. Just such a nice atmosphere. The food was so good, the menu so vast and unique for the area we hardly knew what to choose! The desserts were a particular highlight, the perfect size after such a filling meal. We had a brilliant time, and will be back! Thanks to all at Lido!

The general appearance is really nice and welcoming. The service was attentive but not too intrusiveFood was nice and tasty and if there was any little quibbles it was that the fish was slightly overcooked and the Spaghetti was a bit dry and needs some more sauce.Overall a pleasant experience.

Went there as so many positive reviews were for this place. Unfortunately can't honestly recommend as I rather would look for better place. For the place itself would give 7/10 - tables were not clean enough, sticky with marks; seating full of bits, candle was not lit during the evening time. For the service would give about the same - 7/10 - drinks were not served at same time; no asking if everything is alright/anything missing; we did not received a final receipt on bill paid by cash when change was brought, which is unusual and pretty odd.And as for the food would say it was worth just about 3 starts of 10 - food is in pretty small portions (even for the ladies), for the price paid and it's tasteless or even worse - taste do not combine on the meal and you must eating each part of the meal separately as together they taste horrible.. Even onion rings were so oily & overcooked that flips stomach around right away.. Yeah, not the pleasant meal, I'm afraid. So overall less than 2 start out of 5 from my experience. Not sure if other people got better service/meals and we were unlucky, or people don't care much about what experience they had. As for us, we will try different restaurant next time for sure.

Had a lovely breakfast meal here. Took advantage of the coffee and breakfast roll for £4.95 - choice of bacon, link sausage or square sausage filling. I had a black coffee and square sausage roll, was beautiful and sufficiently filling. We had booked but due to covid, it wasn't too busy - I know from others that booking is usually required!

Really nice. Don't be put off by the shops and street round about. Bit tired and drab. Lido was busy - maybe book - we went Sunday morning 11.30 - spotless, very nice staff, excellent food, well priced, music seemed a little loud on entry but actually matched the ambience 5 minutes in. We'd definitely return, couldn't fault it

Lunch for 3 was excellent on a busy Saturday afternoon.I had chicken stuffed with haggis, mashed tatties and veggies £12.95, my partner had pollo rigatoni pasta £12, my Mother had salmon with noodles £14.95.Followed by 3 lovely desserts. All the food was excellent. The staff were lovely and very attentive and the food arrived promptly.Food prices are reasonable, just a wee bit more expensive than pub chain grub. One wee negative, £2.75 for a can of Irn-Bru is far too much, sadly all restaurants and hotels do this.
