Lychees-Ayr in South Ayrshire

We’re staying at Craig Tara and wanted a Chinese takeout, read some bad reviews which I think are garbage. The food was brilliant! Best take away we’ve had in a long time. Very fresh and tasty.

Food was lovely, in particular the spare ribs starter. Was so filling I took most of my main course home. Will definitely go back.

Lovely restaurant, set up for social distancing. The food was excellent and the service was attentive and friendly.

My wife and I had a lovely meal here. The staff were excellent making sure everything was okay without being to intrusive.

I absolutely love this restaurant, I've been here at least 5 times and I cannot recommend this place enough. If you manage to visit before 5pm you can even get a 3 course meal for a tenner which is an absolute bargain. Always really quiet inside which always surprises me. Presentation is brilliant and food tastes just like take away.

I visit the " Lychees " restaurant as often as possible on my short visits to Ayr. The service in this restaurant, in my opinion, is very good. I would normaly opt for my favourite starter of ch/sweetcorn soup, but on this occasion I decided to push the boat out and go for the " pan fried scallops with Haggis fritters and chilli garlic sauce " , It was an inspired choice, the pan fried scallops were amazing, and the Haggis was so light and tasty it would have your taste buds dancing with delight. My other half tonight, chose the " lightly smoked fillet of fish with chinese stir fr for the mains, and there were no complaints there. I went for the traditional breast of ch/curry, and was not disappointed. All in all , with a large beer, a large glass of wine, a coffee and a Bailly's latte for less than £50.00 very good value for money, can't wait for my next visit.

Absolutely delicious! Got Malaysian Chicken with noodles and Hot n Spicy Squid with fried rice. Good sized portions, would definitely recommend. A bit pricier than my normal Chinese but worth it 😀😀😀
