Souter's Inn Restaurant in South Ayrshire

Great food, friendly staff and ease of pace. Well worth the visit.

This was our first visit to the restaurant. The staff were very welcoming on arrival, we got our drinks order taken in good time and food. I had the burger, it was fine, but quite greasy and very peppery. My wife has the Cajon salmon, there were a lot of flavours in there, but she thought it was good. But once we had our food that was it. Someone came in that the staff knew and they were all crowded round chatting and forgot about their customers.

First time to the Souter Inn, having moved to the area recently. We were very impressed. Really good food, atmosphere, service. A perfect Sunday. We also met a lovely couple with a gorgeous baby girl next to us, to complete with great company and conversation. Will definitely be going back 😊

Although very different to when I had visited before which was many years ago we were very pleasantly surprised. Light & airy, extensive menu and great staff. Thankfully we booked ahead as was very busy even at 2pm, however we had a delicicious meal which we considered very reasonable.

Lovely food , great service and the wee cake shop attached to it excellent bought several cakes to takeaway, only critism not much space between tables quiet narrow where we were sitting and I had my 18 month old Granddaughter with us so would have been more comfortable with more space as it was very busy !!! . Beautifully decorated and very clean

We were staying at the Turnberry and found that it was nearby, what a fantastic find! The service, staff and food was fantastic, everything cooked perfectly ✨ we had the Korean ribs and garlic mushroom for starters, ribs were excellent, for mains we had the katsu burger and chicken snitzel and they were amazing, even the sides, salad and creamed potatoes, chips were very nicely done. Would have loved to try their desserts but we couldn't make anymore room for them! Really recommend it if you're looking for a great atmosphere and food, we'll definitely be back to try their mussels soon.

We visited on a Wednesday lunchtime as a birthday treat for a family member. It is a fantastic, atmospheric place to eat. The food was excellent and the service was the same. The staff were friendly and attentive, even down to taking note of a passing comment that a family member was having a birthday and preparing a dessert for her.We all had different food and each dish was prepared perfectly. All of the dishes were lovely and tasty and very well presented.The establishment was similarly presented, neat and tidy and with good facilities. All in all a really nice stay. Thoroughly recommended.

Very modern and with quite a buzz inside. Absolutely beautiful outside and so very clean. Staff very helpful and friendly with good service. Meals very nicely presented too. My sister was very impressed with her seafood meal. It is unusual to have three types of fish served on a plate and it was delicious. My pie was also very tasty. Definitely would return and recommend it. Reasonably priced too.
