The Plaice in South Ayrshire

First time trying and last time. Felt as though staff had a bit of an attitude towards us, like they had better things to do. Sat down to eat our fish suppers and found they were quite greasy with bones all through it. Complete let down for an “award winning” chip shop

Fantastic value and huge portions, really lovely fish and chips, also the gluten free option is excellent too, will definitely be using place to be on more occasions, and recommend to all Family and Friends

First time trying due to roadworks. Sausage supper. Smallest portion of chips I have seen in supper. Doubt I will be back.

Been a couple if times and the food is good quality. Well worth a visit but unfortunately tonight the fish was mushy and I couldn't eat it all because of that. The batter on the fish was great and the chips were good. A couple of bones were found too which is a shame. A good cook on the fish would have scored it higher though.

Well worth the drive to Kilmarnock.Our fish and chips were really top class.Not greasy at all, freshly cooked and beautiful crispy batter. Will definitely be back

Best fish and chip shop in Ayrshire bar none, would highly recommend and I have tried a lot of others ....no comparison elsewhere ...Try it out!

Honestly one of the nicest chippies around. The batter is always so light and crispy and never oily. Food is always piping hot! Would recommend 5*

Food was delicious. Only thing that stopped 5 stars was lack of gluten free choice.
