The Rupee Room in South Ayrshire

This was our first visit, beautiful restaurant, food absolutely gorgeous and fabulous service and staff, will definitely be returning. Thank you so much

Came on a Friday night whilst working down in Ayr. The food was fantastic not to mention the attentive staff. Would highly recommend.

Went there on a Monday night for my birthday, ordered chicken pakora, very nice, then came the main courses, chicken tikka which was chewy and discusting, the chicken had no flavour and tasted as if it was chargrilled, my chicken tikka house curry had a nice sauce but it was plain chicken and inedible we complained and the waitress just shrugged her shoulders, obviously we won't be back ever again

Lovely food, friendly staff. I had the South Indian chicken which is a favourite of mine and can say the Rupee Room is one of the best I've tasted. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This restaurant has changed hands since last visited and I'm afraid no where near as good. Decent Sunday special at £15 pp. Starter,mains and side. Food was fine except an awful attempt at pashwari nan. 4 soft drinks at £2.80 each also a bit steep. Long lost it's reputation.

Nan is good. Poppadums are good. But that’s it. What you get served is not Indian food. Yeah, you can still eat it but the food will not settle your cravings for an Indian meal.Walked into an empty restaurant. Owner not bothering to greet or even acknowledge. Servers ushered us to the table. Clearly didn’t understand what’s what on the menu. Ordered South Indian chicken. It was coloured with red food Color! No spices no curry leaves. Just hot. The chick pea dish was manageable somehow. The pricey Parotha is of the frozen variety. Skip it.Won’t visit again.

As we all know food is quite expensive at Rupee Room so abviously we expect a good fresh food. Ordered tonight and lentil wasn't fresh atall n had to bin the whole. Phoned the restaurant n was told that they aren't standing in the kitchen so they don't know about lentils. I mean seriously,is this the response one should expect????? I told the girl,I spent money and she asked her manager that they can't refund me but will adjust in my next order. Thts fine ,I don't want my money but stay on your words n adjust in my next order nice n fresh lentils n hope you check next time what kinda food is going to your clients as we spend money so we definitely expect good .....

Worst mixed pakora I've ever had the displeasure of eating!!!!! The dip was even a joke, tia sweet chilli sauce with a little tandoori masala flung in to give it an Indian hint! How Sad. Will never be back!!!! Used to be really good 😢😢😢😢😢😢

Very happy with our meal here tonight. We came for the early meal deal and the food was absolutely delicious. We also asked for korma for our daughter which was not on the menu and it was no bother to do that for us which was really kind. We were particularly impressed with the naan bread and enjoyed watching the chef cook it. We've come away full and very happy!

Just had an amazing mushroom pakora followed by Lamb south Indian garlic chillies and one of the largest garlic, chilli and coriander naan breads I've seen in my life. Service is fast and extremely courteous...the old fashioned way...elegant, unobtrusive and to the point. A lot of restaurants (not just Indian) could learn a lesson or two from this establishment. Hope to return again.
