No dogs allowed. Turned away when asked. Contrary to other posts allowing dogs is at the proprietor's discretion, if you are told anything else then you are not being told the truth.

Totally Neglected inside. Toilets dirty and unkept. Bar and seating ok. Staff Friendly. But it needs Refurbed and still keep its Character.

Always stop in here for the Cullen skink when in town!

Nice old bar with a bit of character to it...always somebody in it for a bit of atmosphere. Can't say I've ever been in when it's been empty. Nice enough pint, the staff are always pleasant and the service is quick.

Best Guinness in Ayr, and they have normal as well as extra cold. A waste of a beautiful old pub as they blare awful dance music and have a tacky illuminated bar. Lovely fireplace
