Been going here for about 33 years my gran stayed in Aitken Street and parent's in parade every Friday she'd get me to pick up special fish supper to take down to her. it's always been the best wee chippy around. I've tried all the award winning places around Glasgow and nothing comes close to the character of this wee belter. Of course you're probably thinking if he's been going here for 33 years he's obviously going to give it biased review and yes you're probably correct but try it. There are two Chippies in Glasgow worth trying. Benny's and University cafe on byres road. These two at opposite ends of Glasgow are unparalleled prove me Wrong..

Excellent food and great service. Formerly 5 star review downgraded. Opening hours misleading online. Says open until 11pm (and the lights stay on) but you'll be lucky to get served any time after 10.

Order came on time, that's where the good points end, special fish was dry and like cardboard, chips were cold and not very many. Got charged £2:40 for a 2ltr bottle of diet coke after asking "is it definitely a 2ltr" and being told it was, and a 1.5ltr arrived. The wifes smoked sausage was more of a cremated sausage. Would definitely NOT recommend this a place to order from and would suggest you throw your money in the bin and save on the phone call.

AVOID AVOIDAVOID!!!!! Lucky to give 1 star asked for a special fish and there was no fish in sight only breadcrumbs I phoned to complain could hardly speak English lost my rag a bit as he proceeded to give me abuse ask my age as I was stupid no apolapogies or refund or replacement offers actually felt like driving up to the chip shop and throwing the order over his shop £23 for a bread crumbs n 2 sausage supers. Hope some sort of food hygiene closes them down

They say they open at 3.30, both on Google and on Just Eat. I turned up at 3.40, and their sign was lit, but the door was locked and the guy behind the counter shook his head. Obviously don't want my business...
