Chancellors' Restaurant & Bar in South Lanarkshire

The food was OK but nothing special. I had the feeling it was prepared by someone fresh out of catering college. The restaurant is small and pokey. I will not be going back.

Fantastic meal tonight for my birthday. Great food and great service, as well as very reasonably priced. We had 6 different dishes and all of them were fantastic. We will no doubt be back soon

Food was exceptional, staff extremely friendly, lovely atmosphere, well looked after. Will definately be back, with our 7 year old next time, as the kids menu also has an option for the braised blade of beef (would highly recommend).

Phoned ahead and asked if they could do vegan. They were so helpful, had a vegan menu made up for me and even had vegan bread. I had 3 courses, beetroot and onion style starter, gnocci and a chocolate and raspberry dessert. All were delicious. My partner had the vegan harissa cous cous which was delicious too. The two meat eaters were really pleased with their food too. I would definitely go again.

Fabulous food and fabulous value for money, staff very friendly and couldn't help enough

As ever the experience was excellent. We went out mid week having pre-booked on line. Clear cancellation and cost instructions given should things have gone wrong where given pre confirmation. Sample menus are also available. As portions are generous we opted for a main and dessert. The beef was mouthwatering. The cheeseboard was a lovely selection of cheeses, crackers, and accompaniments and the sticky toffee was a triumph apparently also. It's always a delight to eat there, and other guests were clearly enjoying their selections also. Thanks as always.

Had Anniversary meal here on Sunday afternoon. Staff welcoming and pleasant. Service was quick but not hurried. Had time to chill before desert and coffee. Food was top quality. Delicious.

Was here for my mums 60th birthday, personalised menus saying happy birthday which was a lovely touch! Phoned up to see if they would accommodate a vegetarian with an allergy prior to booking. Turned up to a full menu catered for them. Amazing attention to detail. Food was lovely. Highly recommend.
