Amazing double family room, we had so much space that we got the travel cot set up in the room beside 2 double beds. Room was also really clean and comfortable. We paid for breakfast in the morning which I initially grumbled about but my other half insisted and I have to admit, he was right to. Continental selection was fantastic as was the full breakfast. The views outside are amazing, it was pouring most if the time we were there but it still looked stunning. Our room faced onto the river so listening to that as we fell asleep was lovely and soothing! The features that the building have restored and showcased are pretty cool.We are already planning a little weekend stay later in the year. All in all, absolutely no complaints and really pleased with New Lanark Mill Hotel.

Nice and quiet today. Good historical preservation and plenty of open spaces. Cafe for coffee and fresh pizza. Hotel bar served excellent hot food. V. Tasty and good value. Excellent staff throughout.

Dirty room Dirty bathroom.sofa was brick hard and to uncomfortable to sit on. Bed had not been made and looked as if the last occupants had just got out of it and had been spread up also had seen better days no soft furnishings. Kettle dirty.A large pole in the bathroom which l hit my head off of several times.Very dangerous as l am disabled and could cause serious injury.I did complain at reception but the receptionist didn’t seem very bothered and stated, l will pass this to house keeping.Being disabled and vulnerable a clean bed is essential and apart from my comments above the location the bar and restaurant staff where fantastic.Just wish l had been taken more seriously instead of basically being made feeling a burden and a pest bringing up these things, and being dismissed. This was a special night for me as it was my fist time out since lockdown, but didn’t all go to plan.☹️If any of the management read these reviews l would personally like some feedback.I would think twice about a return visit unless all the faults were ironed outRegardsMichael & Teresa McGowan

Lovely room, the river Clyde was great to listen to as we slept. We had their evening dinner and it was such a tasty meal. The only gripe was that the hotel corridors, bar and restaurant area were quite cold so could of done with a bit of heating around them areas.

Great staff, Food & atmosphere. Our small family of 3 enjoyed a very relaxing 2 nights here, took advantage of the leisure facilities, a swim both mornings. Didn't plan to eat in twice, but everything we had on the 1st evening was so good, we had no choice. We paid for breakfast on the initial booking, well worth it, top class, especially the Egg Benedict's😋 We received a call from reception 2 days later saying we had left our daughter's Nintendo! It arrived by post on the same we arrived home, just couldn't have been more helpful. We all can't wait to revisit. Thanks guys, your doing a great job 😊

No spa service booking. Tried t sort for week prior to stay and managed to speak to managers who assured there would be above average customer care during stay considering despicable service week preceeding. Of course no complimentary anything when stay occurred did not get treatment spa . Staff abhorrent have zero customer service. Managers do not manage. And hide and do not deal with customers.they know they are incompetent Plates smashing all evening in kitchen during dinner. And wake to no breakfast left 50 min waiting to learn there would be no breakfast. So you pay for a service and do not get. And they thought that was okay. Manager needs to change at this location. Never before experienced such a runaway train with absent driver. Check out like pronto before they did something else. Wife in tears and it was our anniversary. Not what I was expecting form world renowned heritage centre.

Dirty rooms. Mould on windows. Dirty bathroom. Room was cold. Bed had seen better days no soft furnishings. Kettle dirty.Could hear everything from joining rooms as a partition door adjoined each room to room although locked had no sound proof. Kept awake by music and partying. Could hear coughing from another roomFull refund given after having to chase the management via email but our anniversary was ruined.Do not recommended if you want a romantic getaway.

We went to the hotel to see if they could offer us sandwiches as the cafe only sold cakes after 3pm and had no sandwiches left. The menu was meals so we asked the barmaid if we could have sandwiches .She checked with the kitchen who said they could make us sandwiches of ham cheese and egg mayonnaise. We asked for 3 rounds of sandwiches, 2 lattes, tea and a portion of chips.Absolutely shocked when 6 rounds of sandwiches were brought out and told the barmaid we didn't order this amount. She basically said we ordered 6 rounds which was not correct and walked away. The sandwiches were 2 slices of white bread cut diagonally but otherwise very plain by hotel standards. We are what we could and four sandwiches left.I went up to the bar to pay and stood for ages.I advised the barmaid I would only pay for 3 rounds and she must have thought we were huge eaters when she delivered the sandwiches and she did agree.I paid just under £26.Very disappointed with the extremely boring sandwiches for a hotel but grateful I did not have to pay full price.Surely a hotel of your standard could do better.

Just returned from a lovely overnight stay at New Lanark Mill Hotel. With Covid 19, we were a wee bit apprehensive about going but we needn’t have worried. Social distancing was in place and hand wash stations could be found in all public areas and at door and lift points. The hotel, restaurant, pool area and our room were all spotless and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The food was delicious with an excellent choice at both dinner and breakfast. The buildings and surrounding area and grounds are stunning and we can’t wait for a return visit in the Spring/Summer time.

We stayed. one night in October 2012 and I loved this place, steeped in history which is proudly on display. It has very spacious corridors and rooms. The food was excellent and the river Clyde spectacular. There's a lovely gift shop and cafe too.Our suite had a slightly dated settee and chairs, but the bed was very comfortable and spacious and the TV was a good size.I recommend you stay and help with the costs of maintaining such an important relic from our past.
