Gardenhall Inn in South Lanarkshire

Visited this pub last week on our trip to Scotland. Always come here. The manager Nicola is so lovely and welcoming we keep coming back. The Mac and cheese is fantastic and nice to go to a pub and tell it’s made fresh. My daughter loves the staff here. It’s amazing for kids and so cheap to eat out. Look forward to returning again next trip up from Newcastle.

Best place ever. Love coming here with my mum. Nicola always makes us feel welcome. Rachel is lovely and chatty and New boy James is a breath of fresh air. Lovely place with best team.

Very disappointed. We chose to eat here today due to the good reviews. Unfortunately our experience wasn’t the greatest.No heating was working so the restaurant was freezing which made our stay uncomfortable. Especially with 2 toddlers.Our table was booked for 17:45 but we never received our food until 19:10.We ordered our food through the app. 20 minutes after placing our order we were approached by the waiter to say some food we had ordered wasn’t available. So we had to look at the menu again to order something else. It took the waiter 10 minutes to come back to us to take our order.When our food arrived it wasn’t hot, it also looked like it had been sat on the side while the rest of the food was ready.15 minutes after finishing our food our dishes were still sat on the table. No waiter had come to collect our dishes or to ask us if we’d like any dessert. By this time our children had become irritable so we decided to leave the restaurant.

Good food, impeccable service. Russell the lease holder is very attentive and considerate of the customers overall enjoyment.

Delightful visit! ☆☆☆☆☆Popped in here for a quick bite to eat and was very impressed.The warm welcome recieved from the girl behind the bar last Tuesday night & the prompt service from Russell was definitely a highlight of my visit.The food order was taken efficiently, as was our drinks too. Food was well presented and delicious.We will be back again soon, and will be recommending to family & friends too...

Had a lovely meal and a lovely experience with a couple of my friends . Staff were so helpful and attentive,,,gary was a very polite and professional young man his customer skill were impressive would recommend this place to anyone and will definitely be back thank you

It was terrible experience. The menu choice was given weeks ago. The table was booked for 1 o'clock. We were there for 1 o'clock. The starters started to be served at 5 past 2. My starter of soup was served sfter everyone else had finished theirs! It was also a very small portion. During this time the waiter had our starter orders gone over 3 different times! He was also very rude and when he brought me my soup he almost tossed it at me! I did asked a waitress for more and eventually received it!There was another long, long wait for the main course even though we had gone over the order during the starter! Everyone else, again, was served before me and I was left waiting!A shorter long wait for dessert! Festive crumble was delivered hot, then we were asked if we wanted custard or ice cream with it! Then a 5 minute wait for the custard to appear!My food was nice. Unfortunately the other 8 folk could not say the same. Their roast potatoes were hard; turkey was salty; the cauliflower cheese had no cheese and the cauliflower was mush! The festive pie pastry was very, very thick!If you are still with me here are the good bits - the brocoli; the Yorkshire pudding; the Christmas crackers were of a good quality and the company I was in was excellent!

Having previously written a one star review, the manager asked me to return at a future date when she had retrained staff. This new experience was so much better , staff couldn't have been more helpful & the food & service was excellent. Would have no hesitation going back again.

We used to go here often. Our last visit,although staff had taken the food order and put cutlery on the table completely forgot about us. After 1hr 10 mins and asking about food the food arrived ,fish was terrible as per chips uncooked, Greasy,and not at all presented. Needless to say we never ate it and went hungry. The best the pub could do was not charge for the food charge for the drinks and offer a Free coffee which was declined. Not good guys this was the 2nd time in 4weeks you forgot to serve us....We need to go elsewhere.
