Lauder's at Strathaven Hotel in South Lanarkshire

We had a birthday dinner here and everything was delicious 😋 Didn't stay overnight so can't comment on them. Complements to the chef

It’s been 40 years since I was last here, staff were friendly and helpful. Nice setting for a wedding venue.

We had a lovely meal on Thursday. We both had delicious venison & then apple crumble. Excellent meal.

Great team of staff. Made me feel like I was a regular on my 1st night there. Debbie, Gill and little Gill were just 3 of the stars during my stay. The lady on breakfast duty, the young man who served us in the bar and restaurant and the ladies on reception were some of the others . The food was great, the rooms were clean and comfortable. Happy to reccomend. By the way, to get brownie points with the locals remember the pronunciation of Stathaven is "Straven" not "Strath aven"!22.02.22 update. Have been here quite a few times in the last few months. Always a pleasure. Nothing is too much trouble for the team. Don't change a thing!

Thoroughly enjoyable lunch. I had burger brioche with trimming and hubby had haddock and trimmings. Service great, lovely staff.

Stayed for 1 night, lovely room in a beautiful old country house. All the staff were extremely welcoming and made the stay an absolute pleasure. Restaurant was excellent and breakfast was gorgeous. Would definitely stay again and recommend. Big thank you to all the staff.

Had a very nice stay here while visiting friends. The staff were absolutely superb, courteous, polite and had a very friendly attitude.The rooms were very comfortable, clean and warm. If I was being very picky the rooms were a little bit on the tired side but you have to take in to consideration that the building itself is very old.We had breakfast on both mornings which was very good, there was plenty to choose from standard toast/continental through to a full cooked breakfast (warning: no beans or black pudding).Our evening meals were also excellent, on our last night I had Shin of beef which was awesome.Being that it's practically the only hotel in the town they didn't seem to rest on their laurels and I would definitely recommend this hotel, and also take in to account that I'm writing this review while COVID is still creating havoc in the hospitality industry. So excellent job all round I would say.

Visited on the public holiday after Christmas. The hotel was very quiet. Was hoping for coffee and a scone, unfortunately kitchen was closed, only the bar open. But still had a good coffee in lovely surroundings and staff were friendly.

This afternoon, we were treated by a family member to go for lunch to The Strathaven Hotel. We both opted for the special, Mini Fillet Steak with garlic butter. The steak was cooked to perfection! 💯 It was one of thee best steaks I’ve ever had!! As always, the service was first class. Thanks to Gillian and all the staff who made our visit so special. Can’t wait for our Christmas Day dinner! 🎄🎅🏽

What's not to love about the Strathaven Hotel. The staff are extremely welcoming, it's a gorgeous traditional building on the outside and has been subtly modernised inside whilst retaining all the original character.As an entertainer I love working this venue and is always great to be in the function room creating a fabulous atmosphere! 🎉🎊🎈❤️
