Totally shattered and decided to grab something to eat after finishing, the safety window is a plus. I ordered duck and lemon and ribs, ribs were nice, the duck was sliced duck with slices of lemon on top, not sure what I expected or if I'm disappointed, guess I'll have to find another restaurant to compare with it, based on that a solid 4* for me.

Ordered Salt & chilli ribs, what I got was a box of small chunks of ribs that had been cut up, bulked out with chunks of onions and peppers. Around 14 pieces of bone with gristle which would make around 2 ribs. I tried 1piece that was not nice, so have put it out for the local foxes, who are a little less fussy. Have ordered from them before but after being sold a box of leftover rib bits, I will never order from them again. Only awarding 1 star as there isn't an option for zero

Went in tonight with my little girl I tried to order a portion of chips, fried rice, curry sauce and onions and was told they couldn't serve me just sides and that I would have to order a 'meal'! I have had this numerous times before and was made to feel very embarrassed having to gather my things and leave! Won't be back!

Like many I've been using the Lee Palace for decades. Food has never changed in that time . Still brilliant . Staff and restaurant are just the same as always. Great and inviting .Think there is a saying ..if it ain't broke don't try n fix it .Lee Palace has got to be up there in the classic places to eat .

Please may I say that it needs an overhaul. My husband and I had a nice meal here but it's very much outdated. I will say that if it was to change to something more modern then it will become more expensive but I'm hoping that there will always be an in house restaurant in Rutherglen. Looking forward to always having a sit in restaurant whatever the nationality in my local vicinity..

They need a revamp inside and food menu. They need to have a better selection for pretheatre re and kids and small plate selection. Honey chicken is everywere now and yet not here..... coming get up to 2020

Arrived with 5 minutes left of their Lunchtime 3 Course Meal for £7.50 deal, as did 2 ladies and about 5 kids. The staff weren't very friendly, in fact they were rather curt. I understand that the last minute stampede might be frustrating for them but their most important jobs are to smile and be efficient; at least they they managed the latter.Food was nice enough, in fact when you know it's £7.50 for 3 courses it was really good, apart from the ice-cream (whi h was tasteless).At that price, I will be going back.

The Lee Palace has a prime spot on Rutherglen Main St and as such can get very busy at the usual times of day. I've been here a couple of times for meals with my in laws and the food is typical of a British Chinese restaurant. The last time we went it was as a party of eleven and unfortunately this proved problematic seating wise. Luckily we had child with us and we were able to place a chair in a very small space at the end of the table but the staff at the restaurant seemed uninterested in resolving this situation. They had put us at the front of the restaurant and so close to the wall that had we moved up to another table half the group wouldn't have been able to get out to go to the bathroom.We were given a set menu which was under £10 for a three course meal. We were not offered the al la carte menu so I can't comment on this.I had chicken and mushroom soup which was ok, basically a broth with some mushrooms and very little chicken, I think I counted four small pieces but it tasted nice. The prawn crackers, which we had to request two of despite the size of our party, were a decent size if a little greasy. I then had chicken fried rice which I enjoyed with some curry sauce and was also a good size. My husband had spring rolls which were very good and beef chow mein which he said was also a little too greasy. I did not have a desert but the rest of our party seemed happy with their food and there looked to be a variety of things to choose from. Our party mainly ordered soft drinks which were all swerved by the can although we were able to order a bottle of wine for those who wanted something stronger.The restaurant itself is very dated. I doubt this has had any upgrades since the early eighties and it is very drab although it seemed clean enough. The staff did not really interact with us much which may have been due to a language barrier. Unfortunately one of our party was running a little late and we had to wait for them to arrive before ordering but we were asked on no less than three occasions if we were ready to order which we all found irritating.Overall I would say the food is average, the service ok, but it's good value for a restaurant in a good spot which is why it gets three stars rather than two. The place is crying out for a refurb but we all enjoyed the nostalgia brought on by the dated décor. I also suspect the cost of the set meals would increase if the owners addressed this.

Would literally not even give it 1 star if you could give them none. It took them 1 hour and a half to get my delivery to me when they were only 15 minutes away. When my food eventually came it was absolutely freezing! Everything seamed like re heated leftovers from the day before, soggy prawn crackers, chips and chicken balls were solid. I called them regarding the problems I had with my order and the ignorant idiotic staff who work there couldn't be bothered even dealing with it, the minute I opened my mouth she said "ok thanks bye" and hung up the phone on me. Wouldn't recommend them at all! Absolute joke.
