Redstones Restaurant in South Lanarkshire

Meal was not very good. Took ages between courses. This place used to have a great name, but I won't be rushing back

Redstones Hotel Uddingston is a modern, comfortable hotel, bar & restaurant. From the menu you can choose from either a very generous side order to an extremely tasty main meal with a good choice of desserts. Prices were reasonable & the bar/restaurant area where we dined was immaculate! Covid-19 precautions were inplace throughout, i.e the wearing of face coverings, social distancing & hand sanitiser. The staff were very friendly & helpful, service with a smile! You can just walk-in or if you prefer, you can book in advance, which I would suggest doing so Friday-Sunday. There are spacious washrooms for all abilities. The hotel is surrounded by a beautiful garden with outdoor heating & lighting surrounding the many benches & tables, lovely to Sit outside even in the colder weather. Would recommend a visit, even if just for the hot chocolate!

Had a family birthday celebration there yesterday. Nice venu and lovely room. Food was very poor. Asked gor a dairy free sauce with the grilled chicken. Meat was thick and bone dry with a tomato sauce that was just like plain passata. Veg was obviously just steamed or boiled and potatoes were very bland. I do not recommend the food!

Food was delicious. The meat in my steak pie was so tender and lots of it. Service was excellent. Would highly recommend.

Lovely restaurant, food was very tasty and piping hot which I like very much, portions were huge, staff friendly and service was quick, really couldn't ask for more, would definitely go back

Excellent service, just in for a couple of drinks on Christmas day before our dinner at home. Checked the menu, £75 for a three course?? No thanks

Very good value for room. Room was large , well equipped and clean. No breakfast available but food in restaurant looked good. Small car park busy at weekends.

One star for the soup. Directed to ladies toilet, 2 but 1 out of order. Birthday party in room next to toilet, disgusting mess, I guess everyone were using this 1 toilet, except me. Will defo not recommend.

We booked it for a funeral reception and it was very good really nice soup, sausage rolls etc. To help if you are doing something similar I would have a tray of drinks ready for guests arriving as it helps get everyone settled. Quite rightly a service charge was applied but remember to factor into your budget, lovely staff really nice food and hit the mark for what we needed.

Food is lovely, front of house staff are very pleasant and understanding of any specific needs. Nice location and spacious rooms.
