Shish Mahal in South Lanarkshire

The four takeaways we got were very poor. What I love about getting an Indian takeaway is getting a curry that is better than you could make at home. Unfortunately, the curries we got had very poor quality sauces & very little chicken. Notice I did not mention price - even at half the price I would not go here again. The staff also had no care factor.

Stopped ordering from here around a year ago.. ordered today the food tasted like it had been sat in the box all day and the meat is like leather it smells and looks weeks old !

Had a v large donner kebab. Meat is packed separately from Nan bread ( no pitta for some reason ). Meat was gorgeous - nicely spiced, not greasy and nan bread was one of the best I’ve ever tasted. Saved some for the next day ( lunch ) - bread was still so fresh and soft - kebab meat re heated in microwave perfectly. I will be back

It was reasonably priced and the spicy chicken and donner pizza we selected was very good, I had a craving and me and my brother really enjoyed it. It was good enough to re-heat the next day. The garlic bread was quite plain, could have done with some more garlic butter and maybe some cheese, but it was all about that pizza. It was excellent. Delivery was good, it was roasting and I'll be back to try again.-----------3rd orderOrdered again and the size of the garlic bread was bigger than the last time with more garlic butter. Once again everything was hot and delivered quickly, tasted great. Thanks.

Always a good deal here. Quality is good. The mix platter is always a great option as it is one of the few combo type meals that doesnt contain doner meat. Never been disappointed with any meal i have purchased here.

I would not use the carry out service again. We ordered a meal deal for three and there was barely enough food to feed two. Especially the starters, 2 poppadoms and 2 pieces of chicken chaat. The main meals had small pieces of chicken. Poor portion size.

In my opinion, best Indian take away in East Kilbride! I have used Spice of life, Spice, Wee Ghurka, Taj Mahal, Tikkas, chillies and kebab king so I have tried pretty much every one and this place does it just right! Curry sauce bases in the curries are the perfect consistency, not too runny or thick and not one bit bland but not overpowered with hot spices! There are two members of house staff who are very welcoming and they get the food done reasonably quick when collecting. I don't have it delivered as I live a minute away. If you arnt sure which Indian to go for, give it a try! I highly recommend their pizzas, chicken tikka masala and hoagies!

I ordered an munchie box with a garlic and cheese nan bread and asked for delivery. When it arrived the nan bread was cold and there was no cheese. Phoned up to ask if there was something they could do and they guy on the phone refused to do anything, he was rude and kept saying he won’t do anything because that’s how they do their nan bread. Asked for a refund and got told no! Poor customer service. We always use this place for our food but not anymore! Lost a really good customer

Chips were soggy I took them back in and got a dirty look and the chips got took away and re fried and they didn't taste good at all. My stuffed crust pizza was lacking cheese in the stuffed crust it just tasted like dough and the base was tasteless. Won't be back here.

I phoned and placed an order for 4 x 16inch pizzas to be collected at a specific time this evening for a birthday party and they were all ready bang on time. Pizzas delicious, service friendly. Would recommend
