Came here after walking the Clyde Falls walk. Excellent sandwiches, soup and salad. Cake was amazing, we had the caramel and Oreo chocolate cake.

Fantastic homely welcome from staff and owners, service couldn't be better, latte was just how I like it ,with scones to die for especially the treacle, be back soon.

Just had the best bacon roll I think I ever had, a perfect latte, and as always the most delicious cheesecake. All their cakes are absolutely beautiful, a great wee cafe, favourite in Lanark :) thanks for the weekend treats

Nice cafe with outdoor and indoor tables. Sat outside because of sun. Good coffee and cake. Not expensive. Young waitress was helpful and friendly. Order came quickly.

Excellent food and service. very friendly, lovely staff. Quality all through , spotlessly clean. All you could ever wish for in a small restaurant, in a nice setting, If you fancy you can even sit outside in the square.

In town visiting. Looks like an inviting lovely spot with outdoor tables and brollies. Wanted to shop 'local and independent'. However, we had a long wait and a surly, unfriendly male server was practically throwing the food onto the tables. Our pricey coronation chicken baguette was plain, tasteless and bland. No salad. No napkins. Tables not cleaned while we sat and waited. Should have got a tesco meal deal. :/

Came back in October while doing a heritage walk around Lanark. The name of the cafe is apt as it's set up like a traditional tearoom. A bit old school, but pleasant, bright and airy. All the new health guidelines were being observed with hand sanitiser, table space and face masks etc.I ordered a home made vegetable soup and also a (I think) marshmallow cheesecake. First off the soup was pretty poor. Really watery and salty. I also asked for a glass of water to help with the saltiness, but still couldn't finish the soup. The cheesecake was delicious though. In fairness, when it came to the bill, the staff took money off the final bill, so kudos for that. I came here because of all the amazing reviews, but I was disappointed overall. I can't fault the service or customer focus and that's a credit to the staff.
