Delicious lasagne and Penne Bolognese and very reasonable. I love how i can buy a selection of sweets by the weight.

Disappointed, I hadn't been in for a while and thought I'd give it another chance. Two fish suppers cooked fresh, got them up the road and the batter was soggy, to the point of being unpleasant. I reckon that the fryer wasn't up to temperature, the chips were also a bit limp, both the fish and chips were cooked but only just. It's a shame as I think with a little extra effort the chip barn could match the other chip shop in Strathaven.

Come here for lunch sometimes. Super friendly and one of the best chippys I've been too! I find some have chips that are too greasy and leave an offset stomach but this place is brilliant!

Great place to go for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Friendly staff and amazing prices for what you get. Highly recommended.

Family ran business for over 30 years ...an authentic fish chip shop . Fish teas are awesome and do home deliveries , another option to think about for Friday night's take away ...without breaking the bank ..

The chip barn is the most authentic italian chip shop since sliced bread. You can pick yourself up a lunch time special which consists of the finest pork for the finest price of 1.90. Deals do die for. They also do authentic italian pizzas. Thats twice now ive ate a pizza from there and started speaking italian. The place is what dreams are made of.

Popped in there tonight when passing through, first instinct was that it looked pretty grubby, should really have walked away, but didn't, I ordered a fish supper. It was suspiciously cheap, drove home with it, opened it up, and it just did not smell right, chips, ( tried one) were really bad, overcooked in old oil. Fish I did not even attempt, smelled off. Now don't feel well!!!!
