Dropped in for a lovely dinner with my wife. Service was excellent. Food was roasting hot. Food was full of flavour. Real value for money. Very impressed. Will be back.

Nice meal although the food could have been a little warmer I like my food piping hot . Waitress was very attentive and friendly willgo back but the food has to be roasting .

Visited with my friend 3 courses each and soft drink less than £28.food was amazing fish was lovely and crispy not greasy. Staff were lovely too. This is a must to visit.

I can't believe I am having to leave this review because I honestly thought everyone had a lovely time and the staff were really nice. The food was lovely although felt there could have been more of it. The manager has decided to take to Facebook to say that our children were unruly and unsupervised which couldn't be further from the truth. None of the staff came to me or my wife to display dissatisfaction at the time other than one staff member who said to an aunt about the children's behaviour once. THIS WAS A CHILDRENS PARTY. They were made aware in advance that there would be children present and it says on the front door children welcome. The place needs to decide what it is. They serve food and walk through the function. Members of the public are free to walk through a private function at their will. Apparently there was a complaint about noise. Noise in a pub!!! Maybe you think you are a Waterstones Cafe? Although they didnt have milk for a coffee? The management admitted that perhaps they should stop these types of functions and I couldn't agree more. I never want to make a fuss about these things and honestly walked away at half past 7, which is when ALL the children left, that was a good night and for some reason they have taken to Facebook to spout nonsense.

Food was so tasty, lots to choose from & excellent prices, didn't wait long between meals , excellent friendly service

I was at my granddaughters 1st birthday / naming day partystaff have commented on facebook about noise levels of primary school children all under age of 8 and 2 babies what exactly do they think that age group should do sit and not be heard at no time did any staff member speek to the parents if it was that noisy my baby granddaughter would have been unable to nap which she did also on subject of hall they new what there were booking they were happy to take ure money for a buffet which did half the people that was paid for and did not inform my daughter she could not get in to decorate the hall before commencing party as a company you also let members of the publicwalkthrough the middle of a children's party and publicly moaned on face book instead of being professional and speaking to the people who help keep ure business afloat

First time in this place since new owners re-opened it. Have to say it was really good. Had a very tasty burger and chips, the rest of the lads had various selections from the lunch menu and we all enjoyed it. Good work!

Grub was very average. Clean toilets, and friendly staff.

Have to say although this wasn't my first choice, I enjoyed it.Our server was very nice and friendly. The food portions we're very generous - starter share plate even at a small was too much for 3 people. Food quality was good, bordering on great - a touch more sauce on the Highlander burger was required. Price was £50 for starter share plate, 3 mains, 1 dessert, 4 soft drinks and 2 pints.

Food was very disappointing. I had steak pie which was edible, potatoes and veg let them down. Told staff how I felt. No apology given. The decor is beautiful. Rather empty need to up your game to make it a success.
