Valerio's Famous Fish &Chips in South Lanarkshire

Sadly have to say been twice and on both occasions the staff at the takeaway counter got my order totally wrong. First time asked for just vinegar got salt and vinegar. Second asked for 2 fish and 10 fritters. Got fish chips and fritters. So won't be calling again. Try getting them some hearing aids, seems they need them.

Smashing wee fish restaurant with separate takeaway area. Food was lovely, nice light batter on the fish and good chips. Price was good for a Mother's Day special. Nice decor and lovely staff.

Food was good...down side was they couldnt give me a breast of chicken....other than that,food was good and staff were very nice

Been going there every week because the food is usually excellent, but today was appalling to say the least ,The restaurant was full every table occupied, but the service was shocking,They are trying to do too much at a time, they totally ignored the restaurant and favoured the chip shop orders , the telephone orders and the home delivery service orders , the amount of complaints from the restaurant were totally viable, people were complaining to the waitresses all the time , people started walking out without being served, we waited well over an hour for our order along with another 8 tables of customers , when we eventually got served the fish was overcooked it was quite dry, before the fish and chips have always been great, hence the reason we go every week, when you place your order they always bring your drinks to you within minutes which they did again today which meant the hot drinks are frozen by the time the meal cameTotally unhappy customer today 😥😥

Excellent friendly and welcoming place if you want just a cuppa or something tasty this is a great cafe

Great chippy in the heart of Lanark. A wide selection of decent priced meals to eat in or carry out. Ample parking in the adjacent car park.Use their online app for booking in advance and collect from the counter.Piping hot, freshly cooked and very tasty. Wouldn't go anywhere else.Thoroughly recommended.

Never in my life have I had a fish this tasty. Chips were half decent tae, but my god, the fish. Outstanding.

I went in yesterday with my mum and my boyfriend, there was one last free table and no other customers queuing. We were asked to exit the premises and enter from another door (very unnecessary since we were the only ones coming in). While we proceeded to make our way to the other door another group entered before us and was given the table. The waitress then apologised saying the were no more free tables.Extremely unprofessional, rude and disrespectful. I can't help but thinking that they favoured the local people over us foreigners (been living in Scotland for neatly 10 year).First time wanting to try this place, never will.

Ridiculous, the staff asked us to leave and enter another door, and in the time it took us to walk to the other the entrance, they had given the seat to others. Disgusting customer service, idiot staff. Hope the owner understands how poorly potential customers are treated here.
