Bonzo Lounge in Bath and North East Somerset

Much better than last visit. The new Manager, Deon, has whipped the place into shape. Tapas was delicious and a goodly amount of bread served with it. Cocktails were lovely. Whisky Sour was very sour; just as I’d hoped.

This is a very busy day time venue but the staff are very friendly and efficient so it doesn’t take long to get you seated. I generally only visit dog friendly places and this place welcomes dogs happily. You can order at the table via the simple app or walk up to the bar. The food is excellent. The pulled brisket chilli is really tasty and the veggie sausage sandwich was quite an unexpected delight. There are specials on Mondays and Tuesdays (free dessert with mains etc) but you have to arrive after 5pm; probably as it is such a busy day time venue. The only unfortunate problem is price - not cheap here’ but I guess you are getting decent food.

This was my first visit to the Bonzo Lounge. I read we could bring our dog, so after a long dog walk we dropped in to enjoy a coffee. We were greeted by very friendly staff who immediately cleaned down a table and offered us a menu. We ordered coffee and was more than happy with what we had. Hot and had a distinct flavour. There was a very pleasant atmosphere there and our dog went down a treat with a few customers and there children.We have already planned to return here and sample the food, which sounds delicious.

Dog friendly which is always a must for us. Food was great, lots of tables, was quite busy but that's how you know it's good.

No acknowledgement on walking in. In the end seated ourselves in a quiet venue. Ordered from the app, could see our drinks on the bar for 10 minutes before I just got up and got them myself. The team too preoccupied with having a social event. One member of staff placing menus, and others knowing our drinks were there but yet all looking like that it was not their job to bring them over. Pricing wise, overly expensive for service no better than a weatherspoons or budget chain. Wouldn't have minded if someone had greeted us on walking in and explained that they were in a meeting.

If I'm honest I'd love to be able to give a 0* review. The service was chaotic and painfully slow at best. There seems to be a very skewed hierarchy between people waiting at the bar and phone orders. I waited 18 minutes at the bar to order 2 drinks. Not in any world acceptable. We left and went to another bar where we felt much more welcome and where the service was much better.

Capacious seating for our afternoon tea. I'm sure it feels more inviting at busier times. We were rather alone for our Tuesday tea but service was friendly and efficient.

Really excellent customer experience here. I'm always nervous about eating out due to having a few difficult allergies including black pepper which is not usually listed under allergens, but the service here was fantastic. The manager spoke to me and assured me everything would be fine and so I was able to relax and enjoy. I so appreciate service like this particularly as I was on holiday at the time. Delicious food as well! 5*

This is our favourite of the lounges. Friendly and helpful staff. Great food and drinks. Can't wait for new additions to the menu

Always a favourite of ours, friendly welcome, clean and fresh seating both inside and out, and hot, delicious food! What's not to like. Order by QR code or at the bar, tables are divided from others and well spaced. We love it!
