Highly recommend... ignore any negative comments. The GPT is under new management. The land lady and staff give excellent service. There is plenty of drinks to choose from. The prices are excellent being you are minutes from the city centre. The customers who go in are ever so polite, I saw a previous review about being chavvy. I think they must of gone to a different place. If you want want friendly service and excellent prices then head here. Thank you to all staff at the GPT. We will be in again in the near future x

Recently offering only a vegetarian and vegan menu, we tried a taster of everything on the smaller plates menu and everything was fabulous.A wonderful location on the way into town, very well thought-out menu and friendly staff. Highly recommended for everyone looking for a night out.

I go here for a poetry gig every month. The side room is an amazing performance space (even when the kitchen is cleaning up their cutlery) with plenty of seating for the more jam packed events. The drink options are very good here and the food I've tried tastes great too

Was looking forward to going here as heard good things. They were understaffed when we went and the food took ages - they didn't have much choice as out of stock of a lot. Very disappointing over cooked chicken strips that tasted like from a the frozen section of a discount supermarket were offered as a gluten free option, as they were out of regular chicken portions. The food they did have we found tasteless - (half of us left our food). Mine came ten minutes after everyone else's at the table overcooked chicken strips and cold chips - one star as I can't leave 0.

Wonderful Sunday Roast, a must if you're in town!

Really really good BBQ food.Would have been 5*'s but the points of perfection were missing, some handwipes post chicken wings, and..... A bowl for bones needed.Also, went to 2 tables which were both as crazy rickety as each other.BUT...... Food was very, very good!Staff really friendly, knew their food well!Kitchen staff happy to provide extra fried chicken which wasn't on the menu, worth it.Burger was very moist and we'll put together, good ratios.Cool decor and would definitely go again.

Best roasts in the South West, hands down. The staff are friendly, great drinks range and the owner is passionate about food. Good setting for a family meal or birthday. Loads of room.

It was definitely the most amazing brownie with salty caramel ice cream I ever had in my life... but if I have to be honest, the ribs were a bit dry for me as I am not used to having them smoked like this. The burger was amazing though We could not wish for better service, they were very kind and attentive.

I went to GPT with the family (1 husband, 2 young children) in April. Great place, great food - amazing burgers and ribs. I also had a good goat's cheese salad! There was no kids' menu as such - they could just have smaller portions of everything on the menu, which my kids loved. The staff were really friendly and helpful and made us feel really welcome. The meal was topped off by a game of Pool in the back room. Would definitely go back if we were in the area again.
