Stayed at the Bath Priory for 4 nights as a treat. We have stayed at two other hotels in the chain and like the environment. This was a lovely stay; our room (Geranium) had lovely views of the 4 acre gardens and was a real sun trap in the morning as the sun rose. Excellent facilities, very high quality food (if a little pricey) and very comfortable, we had a great experience trip using the hotel as a base to explore Bath and the surrounding area. A pleasant walk into Bath across Royal Victoria Park is recommended, although coming back up the hill might not suit everyone - there are good public transport links (£2.20 for a bus into town or around £10 for a taxi - 2022 prices). We intend to try other hotels in the chain and highly recommend this location as a special occasion treat.

Booked afternoon tea at 3 pm and we had to wait for 50 mins for even water to come out to the table let alone the rest of the food and drinks. Food and tea came out one hour later. Very poor service and a big waste of our precious time on vacation. Never coming back.

Very very hit and miss. Great meal ration is 1:4, every visit, I went with great expectations and eventually I learn not to expect anything and be suprise (bad/good)Avoid the fish, it will be either overcooked or arrive cold. The menu has not been updated as frequently as they used to and choices are getting more and more limited. The cocktails menu however had been great and we all love the new cocktails.

The main reason to review is the restaurant. The hotel itself was lovely, nice grounds, good service and a lovely building. The bed was on the very soft side but still comfy enough. The restaurant though is very poor value. While the food was of a very good standard, definitely not high enough a standard to warrant the price and the restaurant itself was a small stuffy room with an awkward quietness. The drinks were outrageously priced, obviously the wine is difficult to compare but basic £30 supermarket whiskeys were going for £14 a single! I can't see how they can justify that mark up, particularly as you're not paying for particularly special surroundings in the restaurant itself.

Me and my friend have just stayed in the hotel for a night and well it was absolutely beautiful, comfy beds, staff were lovely, nothing was too much trouble for them, garden is beautiful, spa was perfect open till late and open early so got to use it before we left too, rooms was very clean, definitely worth 5 stars and cant wait to go back, thankyou

Review for the spa: PedicureCons:The colour selection/quality is poor unless you want bright colours. For plain nail polish they do not have a white which is a staple colour. They can only do one colour no french or design (the manager told me they could do french but my nail tech said no).I would recommend not getting white or lighter colours in gel as unfortunately their polishes aren’t the best quality for lighter colours and come out streaky. (Not the nail techs fault just the quality of the polish). My toes got nicked three times on separate toes when having my cuticles prepped, so the whole process from then on was quite painful and burnt a lot so it wasn’t the most pleasant experience sadly. The nail prepping was also rather vicious which wasn’t very enjoyable and quite painful. As a nail tech myself I would recommend getting a cuticle remover gel this is a much less invasive process and avoids cuts which can then become infected. I would of also enjoyed a little more conversation as we spend the majority of the time in silence but this is personal preference.I get my nails done very often and I would say for quality and price you are better off sticking to a high street £20 nail shop however for ambience, surrounding and massages this would be a better option. Please visit my tripadvisor review for pictures as it won’t let me upload on herePros:The rooms are beautiful and the view is lovely - you get a foot bath, massage and scrub upon arrival which was very nice. You have a foot cream and warm foot massage at the end which was very nice and soothing, definitely my favourite part. The music is very relaxing as well. You get to sit in the beautiful relaxation afterwards and have herbal tea.The manager came and spoke to us she was very nice and apologetic. She was very mature about the situation which was of course not her fault so that is much appreciated. My mum also had hers done and had a very different very positive experience so hopefully this was a one off.I have had massages here before which were amazing so I would definitely recommend them for that and the pool etc is amazing.

Amazing staff, attentive and welcoming. Dinner was one of the best I've had, delicious and of a very high quality. 5 stars.

Beautiful location. Excellent food. Amazing variety of teas. Recommend the high tea but you only get 1 1/2 cups per teapot. So ask for additional water as they wont offer it. Make sure you walk around the gardens as they are lovely and great for background photos.

Fantastic day at the spa. Great facilities, lovely staff, relaxing treatment and a tasty lunch! What more could you want! I would highly recommend.

This should be a five-star review but it's not, for two reasons. First the service at breakfast was slow at the weekend, and we had cold tea served. The food was otherwise very good.Second, the room cleaner took my teddy bear away with the bedding, and the bear has still not been returned to me two weeks later. The place itself is lovely, though, the food is excellent, and the spa service is also excellent.
