Best Sunday Roast in Bath!My husband got the beef and the meat melted in your mouth... I had the pork and was incredible, the meat was super tender and the crackling... wooow. Everything on the plate was cooked to perfection. The dessert was super tasty and beautifully plated. Every member of the staff was really helpful and attentive. Really good experience, recommended 100%. We will come back soon.

Went for evening Sunday roast with my boyfriend. Atmosphere was great and the staff were attentive. Wasn't sure on veg - was a little undercooked for our liking but portion sizes were great!

We had dinner at The Chequers and absolutely loved it! We were a party of 5 friends on a Friday evening, and managed to book a table last minute through their site. Hidden in a quiet neighbourhood, it has charming interior and nice staff. We had some starters and some mains and everything was delicious.

We went here for a pre booked birthday dinner between Christmas and New Year. There was a lovely ambiance and the staff were friendly and efficient. We were sat at an upstairs table and could see directly into the kitchen which looked very clean and was running calmly and efficiently.The food was absolutely delicious and exceeded our expectations. This is definitely not your standard pub fare and I would thoroughly recommend it.

Fantastic food but sadly terrible service 😞 especially the manager on duty!! We have waited over half an hour for our starter and his response IT IS HOW IT IS!! complementary glass of wine!! We did not need complementary things we needed someone genuine but sadly no one 😔

Sublime! I was recommended the bubble and squeak option as such, but I didn't think it could live up to and exceed this description. It did! It was absolutely out of this world and absolutely hit the spot after a long day's work. Exquisite, comforting and healthy. The chef here is awesome. As are the bar staff and waiters. I have have been coming to The Chequers for years, and loving it, but since the new management it has elevated itself beyond all expectation. The friendly, stylish, calm yet inspiring atmosphere is perfect for a cocktail, glass of delicious vino, or exquisite meal out. And by exquisite I really do mean exquisite. I am vegetarian and the options sound simple, but are in fact the most delicious and surprising meals I have had here in Bath or in London... and everyone I bring here is delighted by the experience, service and food. Amazing food. Great execution on duck (perfectly cooked). Burger and fries also very well done. The only slight downside is any spirit cocktails which are not listed on their menu (wrong ingredients and proportions). Overall would come back for food

Booked through Open Table. Arrived early but no problem for the friendly staff. Food was high quality and service was fast enough without feeling pressured. Would go again.

The pub recently changed hands and pleased to say the place has retained its character and charm. Had two roasts, both meats cooked to perfection, especially the beef, and the yorkshire puddings were probably some of the best we’ve had. Service was friendly and attentive.Parking is limited in the surrounding areas so arriving in car can be tricky. However, it’s very accessible by foot even from the city centre. Would definitely recommend as a place to go for a Sunday roast.
