A fantastic little place. We went to visit the University and took a chance before the 4hr drive home. It did not disappoint. It was delicious and reasonably priced! Obviously got dessert too! My son was so amazed by it too, the honey chicken was fabulous 👌

Came here for a quick meal at lunch just after opening, staff were friendly place is clean and has a great aesthetic. Got the honey chicken and it's possibly the best food I've ever eaten! Great flavour, fresh and colourful. Try the honey roast chicken you won't regret it, I polished the plate clean! I couldn't expect any better from a high end restaurant. 10/10 would recommend.

Beautiful funky pub we stopped for a drink but the food being brought out looked nice smelt good

Terrible service.Terrible food.Chips looked like they were left over from the previous evening and refried.Peas inedible. DryDirty glassesWhat was supposed to be a chicken Mayo sandwich came in a stale ciabatta with low quality chicken and absolutely swimming in garlic Mayo.Even after we polity made them aware of the inedible food they charged full price and even tried to charge a service fee. Of which there was no service. We were waiting a ridiculous amount for time for waitress to clear the plates considering how quiet the pub was with No apology. Very rude and bad attitude by manageress.Won’t be returning.

What a treat, the food was amazing, Greek salad elevated to another level, amazing burgers and omelette. The young lady serving (Emma?)was also amazing and friendly, a credit to the pub.Going again tonight for the second day running.

Lovely friendly welcoming place. I was so tired and hungry and was treated to a delicious light lunch and an equally tasty coffee. Thanks . Easy but limited parking. Access ok for disabled but not sure about loos. Just a pit stop but aim to return! Watch this space!

Lovely people and a very warm welcome.Didn't have food but what was coming out the kitchen looked really nice.Well worth a visit.I will be a more regular costumer from now on.A traditional pub with a warm friendly atmosphere.Highly recommended.

Excellent place to eat. We ended up here as the kitchen at The Crown was closed and as we had moored up on the canal we were in need of somewhere to eat. It’s only a 30 minute walk if you follow the cycle trail (bring a torch!) but well worth it. There is The Mill but it looked more formal than what we were after. We had a lovely secluded dining area and looking around, all the tables seemed neatly sectioned off.We were served by Jo who was funny and engaging with our children. The menu caters well for you if you are vegan or vegetarian yet there are the usual meat options too.Service was quick and the food was great. Kids smaller portions were plenty for our younger ones.We would highly recommend this pub.

Visited the pub just recently and must say that the service is excellent and food quality and quantity is perfect. Exactly what needed within the reasonable pricing. Will definitely visit it again.

Excellent pub classics with a French twist available gluten free at The Crown, Bathford.  Full 4* review at coeliacwellnes.com. Naturally gluten free food made safely for our some of our coeliac team.  Could publicise their proficiency more, but overall safe efficient & friendly service.  Will definitely return.
