Went here last night. Meal was outstanding. We had 2 courses and we were all stuffed! Very fast service, friendly and polite staff! Can't wait to return in the summer and sit outside by the river. Beautiful location! 😋

Had a living social voucher for a 3 course meal and when we arrived we were given the specific menu for that deal, we duly ordered 3 courses each and then when the bill arrived we were told that the voucher had a specific value and we owed more money ,told them that the voucher was for a 3 course meal and that was what we had so sorry you ain't getting more money from me,they argued that we had exceeded the voucher amount but I held fast and finally they agreed with me. So be warned.The food and service were good just the management spoilt it at the end.

Truly delicious food. Well presented and plenty of it. Staff were excellent and happy to help with anything.Just check your bill!! We were charged more than the menu prices and when queried, the 'discount' of the original menu was given.Otherwise a lovely place to visit in a gorgeous setting.

Had a cream tea today and was great. Really lovely sandwiches , quiche and crisps with sweet cake nibbles and scones. Beautiful scenery sat in conservatory right by river . Other people's main course looked delicious when served . Only criticism was some very wonky chairs and the floor could do with a brush and mop but all in all enjoyed and would go back

We stopped of a bite to eat today, food was very good and lots of it and good price.The only let down was the, condition of the premises, some places need a good clean we sat in the conservatory the window we're dirty looking out and window seals need a wipe and floor needs a good mop bits of food left on the floor from yesterdayBut however nice view of the river Avon

Visited today and had a lovely fish finger baguette at lunchtime. When it's zero degrees outside be good if the pub fires are lit first thing so people feel welcomed in by midday. Witnessed a few people leave today because it was too cold inside! Please make the most of the lovely building you are running 👍😊

Went for afternoon tea! Beautiful scenery, friendly service even out of season. Would highly recommend 👌

Went here for lunch today.It has a good selection of beers and the location is fantastic. But sadly, the food was no better than a Wetherspoons and there seemed to only be one girl serving behind the bar and waiting tables all on her own. She was polite and perfectly competent but she was quite young and it seemed a bit unfair to ask her to do everything, especially on a Saturday lunchtime. We could see the kitchen from where we were sitting and the chef was dressed in a tracksuit. Our food took ages and from what we saw, the chef didn't appear to have any sense of urgency although we did see his mates popping in and out of the kitchen quite often. None of the food appeared to be home made, my burger was clearly mass produced and the 'cheddar' was plastic cheese. It was massively overpriced given the poor quality of food. It was such a disappointment given the idyllic setting. It was as if they'd given up on the food.

Due to its location at Kelston weir and lock gates, this venue was/is always going to be popular, especially on sunny summer days.But the purpose of the visit on this super hot July day, was to scan a recently appeared Cask Marque certificate, only to find it was no longer extant. The App had not updated it's update.Recently (a couple of months) under new management, it was more than evident the extended Asian family now running the place, had not quite found their rhythm.Housekeeping was in parlous state and they are in desperate need of a competent groundsman.I've seen this establishment flourish and fail over many administrations - popular it always will be, but not always on every occasion to a more discerning patronage

Very nice local pub with a spacious garden. Staff is very quick and speedy and super kind. Good selection of local beers, and an additional bar if you prefer cocktails. The food is very good too - I especially liked vegetable samosas as a starter.
