The King Of Wessex in Bath and North East Somerset

I hate complaining, but I have too say this is probably the worst spoons I’ve ever been too. It was a pretty busy Saturday day all three of us ordered food. Mine came and it was burnt too a crisp.. I asked a waitress politely “my panini is really burnt is there any way you could change it please” I wish I had taken a photo because it was practically cremated.. anyway she takes the plate away. (I also didn’t have a chance too eat my chips). 10 minutes goes by my sister and her boyfriend have eaten I’m still sat waiting for my meal…A waitress walks past and my younger sister called her over. The attitude from her was disgusting she practically looked at us both like we were dirt on her shoe. She brought me out just my panini no chips.. and at this point I was fuming I had waited well over 20 minutes for a replacement, received terrible service and now I’m having practically half a meal. So I just asked for a refund.She just replied with “right okay then” and took it back smug as ever. She came back to my table and said “go to the bar the managers waiting for you” so I did.said waitress then hands me the receipt with a refund.. lucky I still wanted too speak to a manager about this waitress because upon checking the receipt she had refunded my sisters meal and not mine?The manager was decent enough and just said ask your sister too transfer you the money over when it gets refunded… and that she’d speak too the waitress. However I was still very upset by the way me and my sister was treated maybe it’s because we are Welsh or because we are young girls and she didn’t take us seriously but as a waitress myself I know this type of service isn’t on busy or not !!

Visiting relatives and always meeting in The King of Wessex, we was very disappointed in the customer service and the food.I understand its inexpensive but honestly it was appaling, the tables was dirty, including cutlery bought out with our food acknowledgement from bar staff was nil, and no check to see if food was OK.Which it wasn't it was burnt and had to go back, we returned today for breakfast on our way home, food was cold so that went back and my sons breakfast didn't turn up, so had to go and find a merry of staff. By the time his came out we had all finished.We always eat and drink here so not sure what's happened since our last visit a few months ago

Went for breakfast last weekend whilst visiting Bath. Food nice and arrived quickly although not quite as warm as would have liked. Only one hot drinks refill station working. Toilets quite dusty and toilet roll holders falling off wall. Was generally ok

As usual weatherspoon is value for money. I have given 4 stars not five because tables need to be wiped before new customers take over the tables. Either the staff are not doing what they are supposed to do or they are short staffed. I suspect it is the latter. Come on Tim Martin get this sorted or your profits/share price will go down.

Nice cheap weatherspoons. Quick service. We did order glasses and got pitchers but we drank them anyway!

Place was filthy. Had to return cutlery as it was dirty. Called in for breakfast whilst away. Food was Luke warm and had all been deep fried, possibly including the bacon as there was an issue with the kitchen grill. Fire Alarm kept going off throughout our time there and did not stop all through ourmeal. Eventually we had to leave as there was issues in the kitchen. We had to leave half of our food and drinks, even though we had paid for them due to fire evacuation procedure and we were not offered any money back. I have a video for reference if it is needed. Will not be returning and will not advise anyone to go there for food.

What isn't there not to like about any spoons great quality great food no fills or spills but definitely worth the money hands down. Would definitely recommend we all had a great lunch here used app to order and pay came to table in a decent amount of time

Zero stars for this weatherspoons, my pizza was undercooked and doughy and I ordered a Jim bean and Pepsi max double and they asked for ID and I provided them with my license and he refused it because he couldn’t read it and said he can’t read it because he started at 4am this is unacceptable for Customer service and this man deserves to be talked to! Didn’t get a refund or an alternative soft drink either after I provided adequate identification.

As Wether spoons goes, this is on of the nicest I've visited, bright and spacious, plenty of seating and tables, lots of floor staff to deliver food and drinks to your tables, first time I've seen a roaring fire in a Spoon's, great food and service

It's a sparkling Wetherspoons. Happy crowd. Very well placed in bath. Prices, food and service excellent. I will return.
