Cosy little pub with nice selection of local craft beers to choose from. Low lighting and interesting decor helps creates a bit of character & atmosphere. Ideal for a quiet drink after a show or dinner.

Stepped in without a reservation at 1:30pm ish and got lovely service for cream tea immediately! The staff were friendly and kind, and the scones were perfect, large and hot. Seating is cosy and loads of natural light coming in through the windows in the afternoon.

Food was delicious and atmosphere very cool and inviting. They were excellent at handling my food allergy

Great pub within walking distance of the Abbey and Roman Baths. Good selection of booze and food. Camembert meal was amazing. I would recommend stopping by here. Staff were pleasant and the atmosphere is quite chilled. Thanks for the great experience.

Really good food! Went here with my boyfriend for a valentines lunch and was pleasantly surprised. I had the calamari, burger (really good genuine burger) and the best brownie I think I’ve ever had. And that’s a statement! :) will definitely go here again

Nice little place to stop in for lunch. Staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was lovely to sit in whilst you watch the world go by. We didn't eat, but the food looked great!!

Very cosy! Had the fish & chips and really enjoyed it, nice size portion, tartare sauce, mushy peas, it's all there and all tasty.

We stayed here for a weekend away and it was perfect. Lovely room, Smart clean bathroom all in a cracking location. The breakfasts they serve are awesome, I had the full English one day and eggs benedict the other, both were 👌The biggest and best surprise was this cracking wee mini bar.Would definitely come again.

Went for a roast dinner here today and got sat down in one of the back rooms. We didn't get any menus upon seating and nobody came to see us for 10 mins. When they did they didnt realise we didnt have menus so wanted to take the order. We ordered some drinks. They then bought the food menu back and we ordered food. Took another 10 mins for drinks to arrive. When food arrived which was in honesty relatively promptly, my friends pork roast was lukewarm so had to ask for some more gravy to make it warmer. My sirloin beef roast was unfortunately very fatty so had to leave a lot and not much meat at all which is poor for a £17.95 roast. No check back during the meal so we told them at the end and they minused 20% off the bill. Quite poor, won't be going back due to this and slow service. They seemed a bit all over the place with not much experience.

Did you know the Pig & Fiddle have a Gluten Free menu? It's not on their website but we've posted the 2* full review and menu at coeliacwellnes.comUnfortunately their staff really need some support to make coeliac/celiac/allergy customers feel safe. Great menu with non brownie desserts and ate safely, so has the potential to do much better. Will be back to give them another try.
