Popped in for dinner on a Tuesday evening. Good, cosy atmosphere. Our server Charly was warm and friendly, brought over drinks for us while we were enjoying our meal too. Food came out quickly and was delicious, thanks to chef Dan

Staff are really friendly, you can tell they have a passion about the pub. Such a difference from how it used to be. The reputation has really improved throughout the whole pub, including the food which is gorgeous. I had a good chat to the manager, you can tell her really cares about every customer and every member of staff. I have booked in friends birthday in a couple of weeks and have the whole of the top bar to ourselves which I'm really looking forward too. Well done to all at The Westgate

The West Gate USED to be a brilliant pub with great food and service. Now a Greene King, the food is poor quality, overpriced and cold. The bar stuff seemed to constantly struggle despite the pub being very quiet (this should have been our sign to not eat here on Sunday). The only redeeming feature is the range of available ciders and their flexibility in what is shown on the big screens. In summary, okay for a drink, but don’t waste your money on the food.

Great pub in the centre of Bath. Needed a break from studying so met with friends in town and went to the West Gate. Such a varied range of food and drink made it hard to decide as everything we saw come out the kitchen looked amazing! Our table went for the fish and chips and the Hunters Chicken and none of us could fault anything. Great service, great food, great pub - will definitely be coming again!!

Great Vegan options. A lot of seating was reserved so struggled to find a seat. Staff were very helpful and friendly. I would recommend the jackfruit wings. Delicious.

The lady at the bar was super friendly and talkative. Not usually a big fan of Green King Pubs, but this place was an exception mostly because of the staff member at the bar and as I only paid 55p with my £10 gift card for 2 and a half beers, not bad going! Will come again and pay to the full price 😅🍻

Pub was pleasanttly decorated, and very well stocked with copious beverages, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Gave the bar person a compliment concerning the state of the pub and it was dismissed, nevertheless they were friendly and engaging in other aspects. Ordered drinks, for a reasonable price, and then food, also for a reasonable price, but that's as far as the compliments go for our culinary experience. Dried bread, no butter, tough chicken: best part of the sandwich was the dressing on the salad! The nachos/tortillas for sharing was a plate of cold corn chips, with a tiny, and I mean that literally, amount of cheese, just melted on the plate, along with a few dollops of guacamole, sour cream, and watery salsa. Very disappointing and it ruined our experience. Staff who served us were polite and helpful.

Really lovely and affordable. Great selection of ciders. Good menu. I went for the Sundau roast. Very tasty. Staff are lovely and it's a big enough place.

An amazing place to be, very chilled and warm. They treated us very well and allowed our small pup to come in (very dog friendly). Food and drinks were spot on and will be coming here again! Also if you love cider definitely come here, cause they have some really really good different types (which is quite dangerous haha )

Great local pub in the heart of Bath. It can be easily missed because of the narrow streets. If you are wanting to grab a bite to eat whilst shopping, going out for a meal or just catch up with friends this place can cater for all. I went here during the football and it was a great atmosphere. They have several large screens and loads of space. There is an upstairs and I just felt this pub had areas which are perfect for a gathering and still private. They work on an app purchase which I can see being the way forward for most pubs now. No longer the days of standing at a bar having to wait to be served. The dirty burgers were great and full of taste.
