Vellore Restaurant in Bath and North East Somerset

The food was brilliant, the complete lack of atmosphere and where we were sat just ruined the meal.There were only two other diners in the large room and they sat us 2 feet away from them.All in all, nice food but very expensive for a miserable dining experience.

Unable to book a table to dine even though we are guests of the hotel.

First off, DO NOT WALK from the street to the actual hotel/restaurant as it is a steep climb. The restaurant itself was empty and the lunch menu was limited. I ordered the burger which was nice but the cocktail was not too good. 3 stars because the food was OK but the rest was not up to par.

The atmosphere in this restaurant should definitely be improved; we indeed felt like we are at a funeral.We loved mushroom risotto. Other dishes were just okay.The staff was here and there, we had to search for them to order additional items.If you are staying at the MacDonald Bath Spa, I’d recommend going to the city centre for a dinner. It offers many great places, and it is just 15 min walk or 5 min Uber ride away.

Food average, my cherry desert tasted suspiciously like the sauce on my duck ham starter! Really isn’t anything special.WARNINGDo not buy the bottled water!!! They charge £6.30 per bottle, and fail to provide the drinks menu ahead of ordering! RIP off. The manager is truly rude, referring to me at least three times as ‘madam’ in an aggressive tone when I queried the water charge.

Too quiet it felt that I am going to a funeral. Service was very slow food was tastles and in my case was extremely salty we had to pay over 70 pounds for food that was not delicious!

Fabulous fresh local food nothing out of place. Definitely a five star restaurant, small portions but very filling you pay for what you get will definitely be back
