Beau Monde Bistro, The Lampeter Hotel in Bournemouth

Very bad management and not straight forward policy

Dodgy operation... Our reservation was at another location, but that place was closed and after multiple phone calls finally were told that our room is in fact here. Again no reception, only a construction site, but after another call were let in. Room was clean and comfortable but we're woken up at 6am when the night porter and another guest got into a heated argument in front of our door. When we complained we got no apology, let alone a refund....

Very unorganised. They couldn't find our reservation and gave us a room that was dirty and with a broken window. They promised us to fixed the next day but we stayed there 3 days and it wasn't fixed. I don't recommend this hotel at all.

No longer get Lampeter Hotel. Attending a Networking event - nicely refurbished shared space.

A really pleasant place to stay. It's in walking distance from the BIC so it's location is convenient, and the rooms are well kept and furnished. The food is exceptional, with portion sizes being generous and the taste spectacular. The serving staff are friendly and happy to have a chat with you while they prepare your drinks at the bar.The only slightly negative thing I have to say is the limited parking, but in the location they're in there isn't really anywhere better.

We ate here at the weekend, very nice. We hadn't booked but although they were busy the staff were very quick to find us a table, which we hadn't experienced elsewhere that evening.The food was consistently good although it was a shame the lobster wasn't brought to our attention as it looked good and we would have loved to try it. We actually had mussels with salmon followed by scallops which were fantastic. A combination of good food and pleasant staff really made our evening and I would definately recommend a visit.
