I didnt receive my order. I did call , the person who answered said that He is very busy, has another call and put the phone down on me. I did pay 70£ and no food. No money, no food, no Sorry 😳

I have no complaints with the food when it finely arrives but everytime I've ordered through Just Eat or Uber Eats it arrives well after the delivery time and I've always had to chase up the order.. tonight I ordered through Uber Eats and again my order didn't arrive so waited 25 minutes after the expected delivery time and it appeared my order never made it through to their kitchen. I just don't understand why they choose other platforms if they can't commit to their deliveries but if you order through China City direct it tends to arrive in a timely manner. Food great but delivery times are shocking if your not placing your order through them direct.

Ordered food at 6pm, had an estimated delivery time of 7:30pm. Didn't arrive on time. Couldn't contact the restaurant at all as they weren't answering the phone. 9pm came and still nothing so I requested my money back as we had already cooked something else at home as my son had to go to bed. Finally arrived just after 10pm with just a 'sorry for the delay' and refused to refund me. Very poor customer service, will not use again and will not recommend!

Use to be a good take away. Takes longer than the time you are given for delivery but was still the hubbies fav Chinese.However this evening we ordered at 7.20pm. given 8.39pm as delivery time....Tried to contact many times by phone and in the end cancelled the order online at 10.30pm...SHOCKED when there was a knock at the door at 11.50pm with our order, safe to say we had eaten by this point and declined the delivery. I did feel sorry for the delivery person but I am discussed that they would do this!Currently still awaiting a refund!

We've ordered from China City many times and it's always arrived quicker than expected and been hot and delicious every time! Would highly recommend :)

tldr; Place an order, you won't be disappointed.I don't often order takeaway as they're usually disappointing. But a good Chinese is hard to beat.This is one of the best Chinese takeaways I've had in recent memory. We ordered a selection of dishes including chicken chow mein, pork balls, spring rolls and more. All the dishes were nothing short of excellent, which is rare in my experience. All the meat appeared good quality, and everything tasted as you'd expect.Some takeaways are a feast for the eyes, but the taste doesn't live up to the appearance with everything tasting similar. Not so with China city. I really can't fault any of the dishes we ordered, and delivery was quick and efficient.These guys are 100% my go to Chinese when I'm in Bournemouth from now on.Keep up the good work China City, you really deserve this review.

We ordered a takeaway from China City, for a Birthday treat, after almost 2 hours it still hadn't arrived! We received a text saying they were busy in the kitchen so had to cancel our order! Totally unacceptable

We've eaten from there a few times, as local to us, but didn't seem quite so good on this occasion. Egg fried rice was oily and sweet and sour sauce tasted a bit vinegary. My husband's house curry was nice though.

Are usual Chinese not open today so was recommended China City so thought give it ago.. Food arrived under 20mins of ordering it maybe if they had taken more time it would have tasted better .. Pancake rolls were under cooked and not very hot.. Chicken wings were a bit better but again not very hot.. Chicken curry & rice next, curry was OK rice very bland.. Also found it expensive. most of mine went in the bin definitely wouldn't recommend this place and won't be back
