I visited Da Mario Wood Fired Pizza on Wednesday 16 March 2022 in the early evening, a weekday during term time. I was with one other person. This was my first visit. I used Google Maps to find the restaurant, which was easy and led me straight to the right place. The restaurant comprises of one medium sized main dining area with a number of tables with full table service. The team were incredibly friendly and welcoming and I had no issues - we got everything we expected in good time and thoroughly enjoyed the experience.I enjoyed a garlic bread with cheese for my starter and a Hawaiian pizza for my main course. The food arrived hot, was well presented and tasted really good. There was a good selection of food and I found something that appealed to me easily. The food was very good value for money, I paid around £20 for two courses and drinks. The restaurant doesn't have an alcohol licence so it's bring your own - no additional charges.Be aware it's cash only.Overall I really enjoyed my visit and would definitely come and visit again.

Best pizza in the UK. We always go there for team nights. The food is absolutely delicious, the desserts are quality and the stuff is absolutely lovely. 100% recommend it 10/10. Honestly I would have given 6 stars if it was possible!

This place is a MUST. If you want an authentic Italian pizza. This place has you sorted. To top it off it’s really got the family feel to it where all are welcome. Love it!

Great pizzas, great atmosphere, no alcohol licence so bring your own drinks, charge for corkage and they only accept cash.

Possibly the best pizza I’ve ever had. Lovely atmosphere and incredible food. Would happily go again!

Bought a cheese garlic bread from these guys and it was gorgeous not cheap but it tasted stunning. We were visiting All Hail Ale, the pub next door who have a copy of the restaurant menu on the bar. After seeing another patron receive his order, which smelt gorgeous (great marketing by the way)and was delivered by the youngest delivery person ever (as the owner brought his new baby with him when he dropped off the pizza) we decided to grab a snack. The pizza bread was freshly cooked and really hot when it arrived.Just one small thing, the restaurant only takes cash but there's a Co-Op free cash point literally next door so not a problem for us.

EXCELLENT PIZZA IN TOWN. We had a really good pizza night at this place. We booked a table at 8:30, staff seemed really busy so we waited a while before being served, but we weren’t on rush. The waitress double checked all the times about our order to make sure we receive everything asked for so super satisfied about the service even if slow. They don’t have alcohol licence, but you can bring your own (small fee applied). We ordered 1 bruschetta (generously topped), 1 caprese and 1 burrata with Parma ham as starters: small portions but good taste. We than ordered 2 Vesuvio pizza, and the quality was Simply AMAZING. Me and my boyfriend never stopped to say it was sooo good at every bite, only wished to have more half folded filled pizza as described in the menu. We also had couple of desserts. At the end of the dinner, the guy (pizzaiolo, which I guess it’s the owner/manager) came to the table to check everything was fine providing a really good customer service. Only at that point, we realised it was not Italian: just to confirm as soon as you put love and knowledge in what you do, You don’t need to be Italian to make a good tasteful pizza. (Said from us, 100% Italian!!!!) DEFINITELY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Da Mario is an experience and a definite must visit. I can see myself abandoning all other pizza providers!!A very authentic atmosphere, from the beautiful food to the wonderful service and great conversation. They don't have a licence to serve alcohol but you can bring your own drinks with a small corkage charge- which makes for a fab evening out!

Came down on a Saturday evening as a family group of 7. We got a 7pm table at short notice and they didn’t rush us at all, having booked our table for 2 hours. The food was amazing. Their pizza dough is absolutely heavenly and their desserts were spot on. This is a bring your own bottle venue for alcohol and they charge a small amount for corkage, but it’s still cheaper than normal restaurant prices. Staff were really nice as well. We’ll definitely be back and I’d recommend it, no question at all 😁
