Harry Ramsden's in Bournemouth

Complete disappointment. Overpriced, flavourless and tiny portions.Since childhood whenever I came to Bournemouth beach, I had always wanted to come here. The Large sign with the long queue during summer always had me anticipating for the day I would finally have 'Harry Ramsden's" famous fish and chips. Boy was I disappointed. Fish tasted like card board, and chips was grainy. The beans was probably a size of 2 table spoons and the squid was flavourless. Don't even get me started about the soup.Killed my dreams.

Really lovely atmosphere and very good covid protocols. We ordered and paid at the table and the tables were well spaced out. Everything was clean.We got lovely seats overlooking the beach so that was nice.The food was great and the kids ate their food, which is saying something as these are fussy eaters.Would visit again and would recommend.

Delicious meals and massive portions.Shame about the consistent kitchen door being slammed every 10 seconds.I ended up being a complete and utter Karen for the evening meal out with the beautiful other half, counting meticulously every deafening door explosion -'36, I counted them myself.'

Lovely place, very large restaurant. We visited just as the summer season had ended so the place was nowhere near busy as it must be in July/August. The staff were very friendly, courteous and helpful. My haddock and chips were top notch, absolutely no complaints about anything. The freshness of the fish really made a tasty difference.

Such nice food! The chips are always amazing and the curry sauce is great. I get their chips every time I'm on the beach and the prices are amazing too.

Excellent customer service, food presentation 4/10 poor standard for HR , taste 5/10 could have been improved by miles value for money 3/10 was better off buying fish and chips from outside. Am sure Harry Ramadan’s can and should improve upon this feedback. Hope to visit you guys soon again with better standards!

The halloumi burger and chips were really nice. My family had the fish and chips which they enjoyed too.The chips were freshly cooked none of the food was greasy like other posters have commented.They didn't have any starters or puddings which was a shame .I've knocked off 1 star as it's quite pricey for fish and chips.

Great service, tasty food, well presented. Fairly expensive for fish and chips. No starters or desserts being served when we went, but the fish and chips were very very filling. We reached around noon and had a 5 minute wait to be seated, but by 1pm there was a long queue.

Tried the takeaway, fish and chips and the cheesy chips. Very tasty and amasing though had to spend 20 minutes standing in the line and another 10 minutes for the order but considering the sunny weather and the rush it was anticipated. It also has a restaurant upstairs which I had tried 2 years back and didn't find any change in the taste of Fish. They stand for their name. The food was not bad but we definitely had better and had worse too. The thing what was really making us disappointed is that on the window and also the robot over the phone says multiple time that eat in is available just like take away and collection order. We were queuing for about 20 minutes in 28 degrees under the sun and the cashier said there is no possibility to eat in. The service was very slow because there is about 4 people working in the entire place (1 cashier, 2 server, and maybe 1 person in the kitchen-kitchen was pretty hidden, couldn’t see inside properly-).
