Indian Ocean Restaurant and Takeaway in Bournemouth

I attended Indian Ocean as part of a group of 7. We were seated as soon as we arrived and service was prompt and attentive. The food was great, in particular the Indian Nargis!If you’re looking for a good quality Indian this is the place to go. I will be sure to pay the Indian Ocean a visit again when I next go to Bournemouth.

Order the sizzler!! Well worth it and you won't be disappointed :-D Food good and staff very friendly and welcoming. I would recommend if you're in the area and looking for authentic Indian food.

Nice little restaurant, cozy.. food was served pretty sharp, only ditthering was for taking of order and getting a jug of water as i had to ask 3 times, my main meal arrived shortley followed by a glass of water. Also had to track someone down to get the bill..

We always order from Indian Ocean but have never eaten in, until tonight. The food was even better than it is when you order out. We had our 3 year old with us and the staff were fantastic with her. Very good service. We really enjoyed it.

Restaurant was nice, staff were friendly. Seats were stained but we can get over that.The food was generic, I went for the hottest thing on the menu, the Bengali naga and with the advice of a previous contributor I asked for it to be Indian hot as he had suffered disappointment before, despite this I received a very mild Madras tasting dish, I suspect that there is a pot of generic meat in a sauce that everyone gets as there was no individual flavour and it came out miraculously quick.As I say the service was good, apart from them not listening to my request

The food here is absolutely class. A real compliment to indian cuisine! If you are in the Bournemouth area and feel peckish after going down to see the sights, this is THE SPOT!!! The staff here are especially friendly and helpful, they will do anything to ensure that you have the best of experiences. Recently has also been refurbished. They also do the best desserts ive seen in any indian place. Really cannot recommend this place higher!

Table we had booked was ready upon arrival, the staff were quick to take our orders and serve drinks, the food was amazing and very good value for money. Parking can be troublesome but there is a pay and display car park which is a 5 minute walk from the restaurant.

One of the worse indian restaurant ..I ever went to! I called them up 3 times before they keep on getting hang up just to book a table, got told "okay fine come" i Arrived at 8.45 didn't get served till 9.25 didn't get the starter till 9.50, took the rest of the order while we were having the starter, main course didn't come till 10.25, we almost miss our 11.05 Yellow bus aswell, the starter mint sauce was reused from somebody else fought I wouldn't notice, the headscarf women was useless as she didn't understand english and hardly to explain anything! Old guy was running like headless chicken and the food he got wasn't worth the money and food was cold.. wouldn't recommend!! Keep on getting told Sorry short of staff well then you should of told us before we sat down on the table, if you told us then would of went else where. If your travelling to Bournemouth for holiday or family day out

If you want to try tasteless, unauthenticated food, please waste your money here. very disappointing. they did not even try to rectify our order after they got wrong. please don't go here.
