We had such a lovely evening. Amazing tequila-based cocktails which really hit the spot. I wouldn't describe the food as anything special, however we still really enjoyed it. There was a really cool ambiance which made it fun.We were served by the lovely Katrina, who made the evening so much fun. I've therefore decided to write a poem as a tribute to her:An ode to my favourite waiterTo all of our requests she did caterWith a smile on her faceThat lit up the placeAnd made our evening even greater

Thoroughly enjoyable and tasty meal. Pineapple salsa excellent as well as some of the best sweet potato fries I've had. Also liked on the nachos that the salsa was at the bottom with the chips on top (something different). Customer service was also excellent. You also get 10% your next visit with showing your receipt.

Had a great time at Ojo Rojo food was very good , went with a few friends so we all picked several dishes then all shared. Everything was well cooked and very tasty . Sat outside in the sunshine which was lovely ( has shelter so even if it rains your covered. Would recommend and definitely go again .

I really enjoyed my visit. They were quite busy but managed to squeeze me in. It's more of a bar that restaurant experience but the food was good. I had nachos and tacos. Both were delicious. The service was fast and friendly. Very reasonable prices too. I was stuffed when I left. I'd happily go back for more!

We visited for the first time on Friday. I honestly don't think I have ever been anywhere with happier and more bubbly service. The food arrived quickly and was delicious and well presented. Portions were good and it was all good value. Really lovely evening.

Great cozy atmosphere, super friendly staff and incredible Mexican food! This was one of the most welcoming and delicious meals I have had in a long time! There is such a great choice of options on the menu and with it all being tapas you simply order lots of small dishes and then share between your party! I highly recommend the chicken wings and Sriracha Shrimp tacos!Staff were very friendly and very welcoming and explained everything; being my first time at Ojo Rojo, really made me feel very much at home! Would definitely visit again and was honestly one of the best meals I’ve had in a while. Superb.

Good for groups of 4+The food is tapas so it's not big or very filling but when everyone orders one dish each and just share, you end up well fed. The taste is great, they put a lot of effort into it with the spices and herbs. The dips are extremely good especially the guac, very fresh and the addition of pomegranate sprinkled on top makes it even more balanced. The vegan options are also decent. Although the vegan steak was very underwhelming, the rest of the food was great, especially the beans and mushrooms. We had the churro waffle for dessert which was really nice, especially the whipped cream with fresh mint. It's pretty decently priced also although the drinks are really expensive. A double gin with tonic cost £8 and they even add on a charge for the tonic as you're expected to drink it straight

Honestly, this is one of the best places I’ve ever visited in the UK.I don’t know about authenticity, but the food was delicious. My wife and I devoured every bit of it and me not being cultured at all scraping the bottom of the bowls our dips came in to get the last little bit.We had the pork belly and chicken tacos, pineapple salsa and patatas rojo and everything was amazing!!!The decor is beautiful. Our waitress was a delight. The date night with my wife couldn’t be better. We would move to Bournemouth just for this restaurant. Highly recommended.

Brilliant staff, food good, drinks excellent. Go for an active buzz in the evening; not for a quiet meal. Lost a star as no vegan tacos available on the night visited

Really great vegan options here. Better than the usual tacos you would find. We had a garlic mushroom tacos and a fake meat one with a pineapple salsa which was sooo good! The vegan nachos were delicious too. But the star of the show has to be the vegan "Chuffle" dessert - a banana caramel churro waffle with vanilla ice cream. I think i actually closed my eyes after taking the first bite - it was DIVINE. Definitely considering driving back down to Bournemouth just for that. Staff were lovely too!
