RISTORANTE BAROLO in Bournemouth

We can honestly say it’s the best Italian restaurant we’ve been to in the uk. Service and the atmosphere was perfect and the fact they have so many waiters chipping in at once with serving the food, just made the whole experience worth while. Food fantastic..!

Used to be great - Not anymore!Barolo used to be amongst the very best of local restaurants. We booked a meal for a special occasion and were horrified by the changes. You are now seated at much smaller tables and "squeezed" in which is not comfortable. The starters arrived almost an hour and a half after arriving & were just ok if a little lacking in flavour. All 8 of our (different) main courses were of the lowest quality I have ever experienced. The ingredients are of poor quality and not well cooked. When we spoke to a manager about this he basically laughed at us, I guess he doesn't eat here himself!We spoke with some other diners from a few different tables who also were having a similar experience.If you have booked here on a busy night be warned!

We were amazed of how tasty they cook and how great they serve customers in there. Will be our favourite restaurant in town from now, especially that is close to our place. Delicious pizza and salad. The desert was the best we've tasted in UK (not too sweet, just as it should be). A 5 star cosy place to eat or just for a coffee. They also have a small parking at the back, if you struggle with parking on the street.

Food is always amazing and service is great! Been coming here for years usually for special occasions as it is pricy. Love the fillet steak always cooked to perfection.We left a £20 tip on top of the service charge and as we were waiting for our taxi we ordered a shot of lemoncello. I didn't expect it to be free of course but was a bit annoyed to see it priced at £4.20 per shot. Left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth... figuratively speaking as well as literally. The mark up is too high and I think after spending a lot of money, and tipping well, it might be nice to offer something small like that after the meal for free like a lot of other Italian places.Isn't a huge issue but it was ashame. Overall, great place to eat, be prepared to spend a lot!

This is an attractive traditional Italian restaurant, that has kept going through the onslaught of Italian chains, probably because it is good! Food was traditional, pizzas and other Italian specialties. We went on a Tuesday night in January and it was almost full, a night many Restaurants are closed. I think that says a lot! Also if its your birthday, mention it to the friendly staff!

The food is tasty, just lacks a bit of seasoning. For the festive season they have decorated the whole place inside and outside. The staff is friendly.

We have visited the Barolo regularly for at least 7 years. We are always so welcomed. The service is outstanding as is the food. There were 7 birthdays all celebrated in the Barolo fashion.Tom

Amazing!! Called at last minute for a table and managed to get in on what turned out to be a busy night. From the moment we arrived the service was lovely. Our server Luciano was great, attentive but not too much. The food was impeccable. The atmosphere was lively and made it feel as though you were on holiday, a real buzz. Definitely a family feel, outdoor seating but with an opening into the restaurant which made you feel apart of it all still. Definitely be going back to try more of the menu.

Fabulous food and great service. Whether you want steak, pizza, pasta or any of the other great dishes served here, you won't be disappointed. All the staff sing happy birthday to anyone lucky enough to find themselves celebrating there. Booking in advance is recommended as they are always very busy.
