Whst a lovely place! We had some refreshments here last Sunday and were so impressed with the service, and the quality of the food that we saw coming out. The prices were excellent, much cheaper than most nearby places. The owner was lovely, so helpful and friendly, would thoroughly recommend this place.

Visited today with my husband and 2 children age 7 and 10 for brunch. We arrived at 9.40, as website advertised as open at 9.30am. This wasn't too much of an issue. We waited outside for a couple of minutes and the owner let us in. We were greeted with a warm friendly welcome. Service was speedy, food was excellent, really good value for money. The restaurant was lovely and clean. Nothing was too much trouble and the owners were great with the kids. The restaurant is still very much working to covid compliant rules but don't let that put you off. We look forward to visiting again soon. Thank you.

We popped into The Schooner for lunch after a very long tiring walk. The owner welcomed us and nothing was too much trouble for her. Being unable to speak I was given the time to write down my lunch request, which were met perfectly. We had a very good lunch which set us up for the return walk. The owner was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble for her.An excellent experience.

Stumbled across this little place. I was five minutes past the last orders time for lunch but they kindly did me one anyway. I had fish pie - was lovely and clearly home made. Served piping hot with a good variety of fresh veg. I had a butterfly cake for afters - again homemade and divine. The menu is extensive plus they have daily specials. They are open for breakfast and lunch, plus Thur/Fri/Sat evenings. This place was a good find and I will deffo be back next time I am in the area.

Really nice family run place to eat. Only downside is Emma was a little over flirty to some of the other female customers and it seemed a bit unprofessional.
