The Mandarin in Bournemouth

Had a wonderful meal, even though the place was busy and short staffed the food came quickly and tasted amazing would highly recommend it

Older Lady waitress very rude and abrupt, service very rushed telling us they were so busy yet we had booked the table. Plus added a service charge and when asked for it to be removed she was again very rude. Food was ok

We had the set menu was very good with sociable staff.

The food was good but our table was in the doorway and i had to constantly shut the door all evening. A stream of deliveroo/just eat men were walking past our table constantly. Student discount was offered on the menu but even though we had valid NUS cards they refused to honor it on a Friday night despite the termssaying not Saturdays or bank holidays. I was disappointed not to get any apology for the discomfort suffered due to the positionof the table or any offer of amends at all.

Giving the restaurant two stars cause the food was average. They honestly deserve just one star because the service is terrible!!. Took ages for our table to be attended to before and after the meal for the payment. Definitely not going back

Very welcoming and attentive staff. Meal was superb and served well. Comfortable and beautifully decorated dining area creating a lovely ambience. Will definitely be revisiting when next in Bournemouth.

The food was absolutely amazing. Food coma for sure. Loved every single dish we ordered. The food was quick to arrive and the atmosphere was absolutely lovely. Definitely recommend and will come back again 💜💜💜

I visited this restaurant twice with my friend.I was glad because this restaurant waiter remember me. They were very kind.I ordered Sweet and sour chicken and Egg rice. It was very delicious. As the name suggests, it tastes sweet and sour.This restaurant is very popular so it is recommended to go early or make a booking.Next time I’m going to try another menu.

Great stuff and very good service very tasty food and very good value for the price we really enjoyed the dinner time at the restaurant and definitely will come back every time we visit Bournemouth .

Nice restaurant, writing on the menu is small and so many food choices so it took time to read them.Staff were polite and friendly and were happy to explain menu items we hadn't had before.Food was really good and service was prompt. Definitely worth a visit, and will be back again.
