The Prom Cafe in Bournemouth
Where is The Prom Cafe?
🏠 Pier Approach, Bournemouth BH2 5AA
"Located at the heart of Bournemouth’s award-winning seafront, the Prom Café now has more space inside so you can enjoy a beachside bite to eat without the fear of a good ol’ British downpour. And there’s still plenty of outdoor seating, perfect for al fresco snacks and soaking up the sea views on sunny days."

Very friendly staff, good coffee and nice cakes. The location is brilliant right on the sea front, but sitting in the windows can be *very* warm on a sunny day (even apparently in early Feb) this is nice as you can pretend you're somewhere far more exotic but worth being aware of.The seating can feel a little crowded at busy times but service is quick and diligent no matter how busy.

Nice view of the sea and pier, friendly staff, delicious and fresh breakfast and brilliant value for money. Easy to see why it's always packed even when other places are empty. Were really flexible with drinks options on the set menu choices. No seats when I first arrived and luckily had some when I tried 10 minutes later, very glad I did and will definitely be going back when in Bournemouth.

Seen more energy from a cemetery than the staff showed here. Fixed menu - so don't try to make any alterations (despite at the time of ordering there being only 5 groups - highest number being 4 in a group).Any additions in the menu don't justify the cost of them.Apple juice comes in a carton (200ml), placed in a cup with a straw. Not even had food yet...

I visited the cafe recently for some lunch. Me and my partner got the cheeseburger meal and some fish and chips. We were pleasantly surprised with the portion sizes and quality of food. Considering the fact that all the other food spots around the beach are so much more expensive, this wad amazing value and location. If i were to visit again, i would visit again. The only downside was that the floor by our table had some food spilt on the floor and the table was wobbly but im sure its just a one off incident.

Great location and service from the staff but very average food - wouldn't go back again.Something as simple as a tuna panini was below standard, a very lightly toasted roll with basic Tuna sandwich filling, half a dozen crisps and a few lettuce leaves.Coffee is straight out of a machine with little flavour. On the plus side, they do let dogs in

Really lovely staff despite it being so busy, nice atmosphere and good views. Hot drinks reasonably priced especially for the location - have had food here on a previous occasion and it was spot on, with a good variety of options for Vegan/ Vegetarian.

Came to see the lights.Stopped for coffee and a mince pie.Staff very polite but only 50% wearing masks. If you run a hospitality facility make people feel safe.Coffee great. Mince pies too.

We spent a few days in the area, and on our last day after a visit to the Bournemouth Lower Gardens, we popped into the Prom Café for a quick bite before heading home. All staff were very friendly and attentive, food was ready in good time, hot and nice, and the sweet potato fries were particularly delicious. All in all, a pleasant experience at this family and dog friendly Café.

Lavish breakfast options, we tried both the English and the Veggie, very filly had to skip our lunch. Includes Tea or Coffee, 2-3 Hash Browns, 1-2 Egg fried, 2 Sausages, 1 Bread Toast and Beans. Kids tried Burgers, quite light with limited fries. If you plan to take service at table be ready for 20 min wait, best is to take it yourself. Nice outdoor sitting place if it's sunny but usually occupied. Place is dog friendly. Washrooms are inside and can be accessed though code which would be on the bottom of your bill along with the wifi code. If you have a little one it's best you take her for view of the mini golf course adjacent to the outdoor sitting.

Good selection of cold and hot drinks, including iced coffee as well. Hot quick meals and cakes too. Nice view outdoor. Staff is friendly and very helpful. Happy to return and recommend it. Thank you😃
