Tiien Thai Westbourne in Bournemouth

We were out with some friends and we decided to try a local Thai restaurant. We read the reviews and this one seemed ok. As it was a big group of us and we had to travel there, we thought it would be best to book a table but to our amusements we tried to call this branch and the one in bournemouth over 30 times and had no luck at all. We eventually gave up and went elsewhere and certainly won't be going back.

Had a great meal here with friends. Good menu choice, especially for those wanting to try out Thai food for the first time or who don't like it too spicy.Very friendly staff and even though the food took a little while, we were told on arrival that they were very busy so there would be a slight hold up so we weren't left wondering.The food was great with generous portions too, will definitely be going back.

Excellent Thai food. Service very friendly. Generous portions. Particularly recommend sweet corn cakes as starter. Only downside was the pipes pop music that jarred with the lovely Thai ambience . But they assure me they are going to get some Thai music instead.

Quite quiet for a Friday night but authentic and good food and service. No large singha bottles so no large hangover. Win win!

I've eaten in Tien Thai Bournemouth many times and have had takeaway from the Westbourne branch over the last 12 months around 15 times, it's been fairly consistent and enjoyable but last weekends takeaway order was dismal, it was borderline cold and side orders were damp and sweaty with the added bonus of being cold also. A small screwed up bag of around 6 or so prawn crackers capped it all off. With all the competition in Poole and Bournemouth for this style of food I'd strongly advise Tien to up its game. Disappointing

Fantastic evening, first time here, although u have eaten at the other Tiien Thai restaurant, in St Michaels road. Have to say quality of food matches that of the main restaurant, also value for money, however I so have just one negative, after eating at the larger restaurant, the menu here does not offer as much, which is a little disappointing, but the selection they have, is by far great quality.

Well due to the lack of health and safety with busted bodged floor tiles outside. My friend broke her foot and more importantly her phone screen! Then half the menu they didn't have what a surprise we where the last to eat before close.

Ordered from here today and can say it's the worst I ever had not even full it's made me feel sick, ordered 2 lots of egg fried rice and veg and only one and the other was plain.the sweet and sour chicken was soggy on outside and inside was dry,will not be coming here again wasted 40pounds that didn't even fill me up and got part of order wrong just hope not I'll tomorrow from this....

Customer coats placed on waiting couch for some reason. Ordered starters and mains. Starters, including fried squid good. Ordered red curry​ and panang Currey with veg and tofu. Received green curry instead. No tofu in panang. Complained and red curry came back. But no tufu inside. Went back. So my meal went back once and my partner's twice. All for three small pieces of tufu per dish. Received vanilla ice cream as goodwill. Too much hassle complaining about dishes to fully enjoy.

Fabulous food in small quiet restaurant. Excellent service and always a joy to visit. Can't say enough about this restaurant as we simply love it.
