Toby Carvery Northbourne in Bournemouth

This is our local and not had bad review until today. Went for breakfast. Not good selection left 1 egg, no potato mix, tomatoes just juice,no bacon. Chef bought eggs, said there were tomatoes in juice stirring around like we were stupid only to find none, snapped the bacon was coming and it was hard to know how many to cook for? Very condescending. No potato replacement.Tables busy so we moved a chair to access a closed off area. The waitress Suzanne said next time we should not move chairs to find an empty table. . . Not our most welcoming visit.We regularly take friends who are visiting here. Luckily today it was just us who were made to feel uncomfortable...Won't return in a hurry.

Super friendly staff, well kept and clean restaurant. The food was delicious as usual. I would definitely recommend!

Went to Toby carvery on Saturday. Asked for beef but only got a few scrap bits although very tasty. The only thing was the food was not very hot! Think the food stays out too long even the gravy was warm. Please make the food hot in future.

Roast was quite nice with the exception of roast potatoes, kids chicken burger was a disgrace, stale roll filled with chicken nuggets, no butter, sauce or anything and only served with a bowl of beans. Never seen anything like it. Whole place must be a little goldmine, please spend some on a lick of paint inside and out and give the toilets a freshen up too. Would definitely not recommend.

My mother and I had lunch at Toby carvery, Northbourne today, 5 th February. The service was reasonable, it took a while to locate my booking. I had the carvery. I would have prefered to see broccoli or cabbage in the vegable selection along with the potatoes, peas,green beans and carrots. The beef and gammon that I had were good, hot and moist. The hot chocolate drink was great. We both enjoyed our meal and will be back again.

Great value for money. 2 all you want breakfasts and unlimited tea/coffee for under £15.00 very good. Bad points - Yorkshire puddings for breakfast seemed like a cool addition, but they were as dry and nomads flip flop. There also seemed to be an issue with a leaking ceiling, with the staff giving it a good coat of looking over, with the odd mop stick poke to fix it! Lovely, friendly staff. Get the leak fixed FFS!

Great service, tasty fresh food, affordable price.

It was almost empty so the beef was a bit dry on one portion but the rest was lovely. Not unlimited Yorkshire puddings as in the one in Poole. Kids can't get enough of them normally.

Felt welcomed by the staff who were working very hard. We all opted for the roast meals, being able to serve yourself with the vegetables means you can leave off those you don't like or can't have. Gravy is very nice. Unfortunately due to stock issues they couldn't supply our first choice of desserts but the fruit crumble was very nice and the brownie was enjoyed.

We went here for the buffet breakfast to celebrate a birthday and there were 20 of us. I have to say, after being let down by Harvester who weren't interested in our booking. The Toby staff were great, they gave us a section of the restaurant so we could all sit together. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The food was great and nice and hot. Just the service you want really.
