Totoro Rice Bar in Bournemouth

Even after moving away from Bournemouth, I still crave the food from this place, and make sure I visit whenever near by. The bento boxes, kimbap and kimchi are amazing, plus everyone that works there is always so warm and friendly.

Obviously they have to work under the constrains of importing food, etc, etc which pushes up the prices, but the bibimbap is the nicest you'll get in Bournemouth

You called this ddeokbboki?!?! It's humiliating one of famous Korean food. Rice cake is not fresh at all(you can see in picture). There is no sauce. All dry. Looks horrible. And Kimbap?? Deconstructed. I don't know you are Japanese or Korean, you need to stop selling Korean food. Disappointed.

Lovely place run by lovely people, feels like a homely looked after place and I'll only ever have good things to say about it. Will always return!

Lack of taste, mostly bland. Food is presented in an sort of hospital food tray. Cheap but disappointing. Fyi: We had a bento box and Bibimbap rice.

Worst restaurant I have ever been to.The "rice cakes" in the fish bowl were actually tubes of rice starch. The sauce tasted foul. The fish was actually weird congealed sheets reconstituted fish protein.The beef bowl used instant ramen, not proper noodles. Too dry, not enough water, so it was like a congealed ball of vomit. The beef itself tasted weird, like rehydrated shoe leather.The pork sushi roll was flavourless. That's a compliment. At least it appeared to be actual food unlike the first two dishes. The first two dishes seemed like they were cooked in a microwave.Everything was served in cheap plastic bowls.I would not feed dogs this awful filth. Disgusting. And it cost £18! An absolute disgrace. The worst restaurant I've ever been to.

Great place! Food was delicious, fair prices, very cozy interior with a "My neighbour Totoro" motif. Staff were very friendly. Definitely will be coming back and recommend to everyone.

Hands down the best meal in all of Bournemouth, everything cooked to perfection and lovely staff. The dumplings are the best I've ever had. Go if you can and enjoy the tiny table!

This is our go-to takeaway when we want great food. Always good and tastes great. The Bibimbap is the one I always go for along with fried dumpling. Their sushi roll is also good and we usually have two sets of those.Will definitely be coming back.
