Bar Humbug in Bristol

I booked the back room for my 30th birthday and had a great time. I had around 35 guests, which was a comfortable amount for the size of the room. I was able to decorate the space and the staff were really helpful whenever I had a query/made a request. I would definitely recommend.

Booked here for my mates 30th, great communication throughout the booking process. We all had a lovely time, the place is perfect for parties of 35 - 50 people and the atmosphere and staff are also great. Would definitely recommend!

hired the backroom for my 30th birthday. comfortably fit the 30-35 people I had in attendance and would have been sufficient for up to 50 people. booking was easy and staff were attentive to numbers and what I was looking for and I was able to scale up or down on numbers. On the evening the bar staff were great, doing the little things like changing the music for me etc which was really good of them. The bar itself has a really nice decor and vibe and the drinks are good and varied. absolutely zero complaints and will be certainly going back and looking at holding additional events there.

Beautiful bar and courtyard, really cosy. Dog friendly! Great choice of drinks and super friendly staff. We had a great time!

Booked a cocktail making class for my best friend's hen party and it was fantastic. Atmosphere was great, the cocktails we made were delicious, the instructor was fun and professional and managed to keep us in line. Highly recommend.

Great selection of cocktails and staff were really attentive and welcoming. Had 6 drinks between two of us which were all perfectly prepared. Ambiance was great and music was a perfect choice for me.

OK bar. I’d recommend going round the corner for cocktails. The lemon juice-containing cocktail I ordered tasted like bottled lemon juice - it had that unmistakeable detergent-like bitterness to it.

Came in on Wednesday, amazing service and drinks from Anna! Really friendly and great ambiance, and fabulous cocktails. Will definitely return, looks like it is a great place to drink on a weekend!

Lovely bar in Clifton, great team who were friendly and helpful. They accommodated all our needs and requirements for our engagement party. One of the bar ladies was particularly thoughtful when passing me fruity cocktails with berries in them, as I had a white dress on but no spillages which was great! These things certainly don't go unnoticed with me. Great selection of cocktails and drinks. At the start the team helped set up our snacks and nibbles which meant I could just relax. It was such a warm evening as well we were able to be outside right until closing, and remained there until midnight. There was another party booking out the back bar area but this was fine and didn't bother us and it felt like we had more space as was using the outside and inside. I have many fond memories of drinking here years ago, and it did not disappoint.

Really nice bar! Very nice atmosphere with really friendly staff. Drinks are a bit expensive but is still a lovely place to go. A friend of mine hired it out once for her birthday and it was just lovely! Lovely location too, very convenient as next to a bus stop. Not great for parking if you drive though.
