I have had lovely experiences in Grounded in the past. However, this visit was a little disappointing. My first concern was the lack of ventilation and that no staff members were wearing masks. The cafe looks really clean though and is always warm and comfortable. The staff were polite and smiley too. I ordered a breakfast, It arrived within 10 mins of me order which seemed great as I was really hungry but I wish they has taken a bit more time to prepare it. The egg was underdone, really snotty and had a hair on it. The bacon was cold and tasted horrible, I could eat it. The sausages were a bit disappointing in flavour and texture. Not what I would expect when paying over ÂŁ11. The mushrooms beans, beans and toast were lovely but I am really disappointed otherwise. I don't have the confidence to say anything in person and know that the staff probably would have done something if I had. I will come back but definitely won't be ordering a breakfast again.

Amazing pizzas and a great selection of drinks

I won't go back until there is some ventilation. Grounded and hot, fee masks and no ventilation. Sat outside (but had to be inside to order) and enjoyed a delicious coffee. When I asked a member ofstaff why there was no ventilation they said that customers simply shut the door if it's opened. What?

Met a friend her for lunch here and had a lovely time. The cafe was warm & welcoming, the staff were friendly and helpful, the food was delicious and we had a staggeringly magnificent hot chocolate!! Hot mushroom soup with warm soda bread on a cold, windy but sunny day - fabulous!! I’d happily go there again

Just tried out the new menu, Absolutely awful! Been going here since it opened and have never experienced anything like the food served tonight. The pizzas which have always been 12” are now approx. 8” and served on a plate. Had the fish and chips and I’m sure it was a piece of Iceland battered fish. The fries were oven chips and so greasy. Other people were also complaining. Grounded, you need to sort this out quickly before you lose lots of loyal local customers as I for one, will not be going back

Went in on a cold Sunday just wanting a hot coffee and cake, was just waiting at the till not being acknowledged. Specifically asked if they had cheese cake as I couldn’t see it in on the counter, to be told yes, paid for it sat down only to be told a few minutes later they didn’t have it.My partner ordered a brownie which came with cheap ice cream. I had ordered a oat milk cappuccino which didn’t taste like oat milk (lactose intolerant) I then asked the lady who made the coffee was it definitely oat milk, which she replied.. yes.. I think so.Won’t be going back here again. Poor poor service.

My last visit, prior to today, left me with the opinion that I would never return.Very dissatisfied all round. But today changed that feeling in a big way. With a change of staff and a greatly improved menu I would highly recommend it to everyone.Keep up the good work.

Awful food, the fish and chips were tasteless and batter soggy. The macaroni cheese was also bland and watery, sent it back it was so bad. Service poor too, waitress couldn't wait to walk away after putting the plates down, no one asks if 'everything is OK?'

Nice little cafe allowed the dog in. In fact there was loads of dogs in there. Food was as expected from a chain very reliable on the verge of actually quite nice. Food came out quickly and piping hot coffee wasn't bad either. Yes we cleaned the sofa after.

Briefly in Brislington visiting family so not familiar with the area. However I was made very welcome and thoroughly enjoyed the hot chocolate with flake. Just what I needed this morning.
