Fishminster in Bristol

Very very expensive now fish and chips over £11 dearest in Bristol by far. Plenty of other fish and chopped shops but nothing at these extortionate prices even seaside resorts 3rd less in price. And remember this us frozen fish bought weeks in advance same as potatoes , we all got price increases nut not the 200+ you have answered , await your response and proof

I would like to give a 5 star but Anita Adams has ruined it. She does not know how to serve customers, and has absolutely no manners. She shouldn't be there serving customers, as she's only ruining the reputation. If I could rate the employees alone I wouldn't even give her a 1 star.Its sad that because without her I would of given a 5 star as the other guys are doing a fabulous job, and the food is great.She needs to leave or never serve a customer again. I have dealt with her twice and hope to never see her again. If she is there I will go elsewhere.

Amazing fish and chip shop in Bristol north street. Had the new burgers they do and wow cheap and we’re mouth watering definitely recommend.

Friendly service and excellent haddock and chips after a couple of afternoon beers in the Bristol Beer Factory tap room down the road, I couldn't fault it.

Great food. Crispy batter on the fish. Good non greasy chips. Didn't have too long to wait. Clean premises. I'll be going back next time I'm down in Bristol.

I usually have a good experience here but today has fallen very far from the mark, i ordered a large cod with chips, the chips were ok but the fish was disgusting, the batter was rock hard and the fish was dry and did not taste fresh and had been on the shelf for far longer than it should be, considering that this was at 530, 30 mins after opening and the fish being in this state means it must have been on the shelf from at least lunch time or heaven forbid from yesterday(was rank), i called the guy and he tried to reassure me that i was in fact mistaken and that of todays fish had been prepared by him freshly today, arrogant, rude and very dismissive, not happy!

Visited here after the Balloon Fiesta based on reviews here. Wasn't too far away and we could head back to the Midlands easily. While the premises are nice I found the food somewhere between average and good. The food is freshly cooked but despite this it wasn't piping hot, just hot. The chips were not too greasy and a decent portion. The fish batter was crispy, not too heavy. The fish, while fresh was decidedly thin (see the photo I added) and looked like it needed a workout. All things pointed to an epic visit. Poshish website (which had fish pie on the menu - but it had become extinct on our arrival) and nice photos. But all in all was a bit of an anti climax. It was nice to get the food in a cardboard serving box. I almost want to give a fourth star for that. Potential is definitely there to raise the bar, I hope they do.
