Giggling Squid in Bristol

Really easy to use online click and collect options, we would have sat in but had travelled alot that day and it was perfect to take the food back to where we were staying. All of the food was fresh tasty, maybe one dish a bit spicy but we knew what we were in for with that ! :) made a welcome change.

Oh dear….this was one of my favourite places to eat until last night! We were a party of four and I can only describe last nights experience as watching a restaurant in total chaos! Absolutely terrible service & bad food. Deliveroo were priority over any customers in the restaurant, we were left waiting for quite awhile to place orders for drinks which they got wrong, it all went down hill from there, trying to order food or anymore drinks was a nightmare and when we did order; we were asked twice what our order was, then all the meals we ordered all came out at different times.Nothing nice or relaxing to say about our visit.

Took my dad here for fathers day and it was the best and quickest service we have ever had. He is a massive foodie so always a bit of pressure when taking him out but the food and team did not disappoint! Couldn't fault it here. Dad loved it!

Delicious Thai food! Recommend the fish panaeng 😋😍 Also, the waitress brought a special dessert and candle for my birthday which was so lovely. 🎉

We are spending a chilled out Pre Christmas weekend in Bristol and Clifton is our favourite place to eat and drink. Having been to a few watering houses we needed to eat. Last time we came the "Squid" was fully booked but tonight we were in luck. And....it is very popular. And....very busy and bustling. And....very bright....too bright !! Turn those lights down...get a bit of ambiance. The girls serving were all wonderful..unfortunately it's an Asian thing to continuously harass you....until you give in....and order. So....not really relaxing. However, the starters were absolutely delicious ( duck spring rolls, calamari and prawn crackers ) and the choices of main courses were mind boggling, but also good...a garlic chicken stir fry and Thai green curry were our choices. Great atmosphere. You can understand why it is so popular.

🌟🌟We enjoyed a wonderful lunch here in Clifton Village this afternoon to help get into the Christmas spirit.On receiving the bill we were overwhelmed to be told we had been chosen as their favourite customers and the bill had been whipped clean.We are still in shock. We cannot believe the generosity we received in addition to a wonderful meal with fabulous service. We will definitely be returning again soon.We wish you all a happy, safe Christmas and a prosperous New Year😌🌟🌟

Great food, welcoming staff and decor.Alana, great work, keep it up.We was greated within seconds of entering the door, they was even able to move our booking as we was early.Starters came quickly, and tasted absolutely amazing. We could not fault them in the slightest.Our mains which was the butterfly pad Thai was also something I would recommend. Perfectly sized, tasted out of this world and something I would order over and over again. The only thing I was disappointed by was not getting a lime wedge, but my partner did.The puddings were also brilliant, the chocolate exploded with flavour and really satisfied that sweet tooth craving I had.All in all, we loved our experience and felt our server Alana was 10 out of 10. She helped us with our order, had a brilliant attitude and provided us with amazing customer service.The only thing I wasn’t to happy with was the service charge that was added on without any warning. There may have been signs I didn’t see but I only found this out when I asked to tip and was told this had automatically been added on already.
