Grupo Lounge in Bristol

Nice to sit out, but strange that they will not take orders from the balcony, but delivered cutlery whilst one of us was ordering downstairs. And best ask for your poached eggs to be soft, as we didn't and they were all rock hard. Other than that, nice sausages 🙂

This place… where even to begin. Grupo lounge is a place of warmth, retro décor and some bopsy tunes in the background. It’s like getting a warm hug from a grandma you didn’t even know you had!I frequent this place, like an addiction hard to break, due to the sheer atmosphere of the café’s warm inviting tones, the ongoing friendliness of the staff and to top it all off, the delightfulness of the food. The food honestly never has disappointed, except from one time with a chocolate milkshake and a rapidly degrading paper straw.If I am to recommend anything, it is to go for the full Canadian style breakfast, with a pile of fluffy pancakes, paired with meltingly gorgeous maple syrup and topped off with crispy rashers. Though I like to really layer it on with additional egg, classic beans and hash browns as a full on calorific experience. Also, the virgin pina colada is a wonderfully refreshing delight, both visually and to taste.So yes, definitely worth the visit and the support. I hope this place retains its charm for years to come!

Today we called in after a funeral and the staff were so lovely!!! They bought my friend flowers as they thought she looked sad… such kindness!! Food is fab and so is the staff…. Highly recommended!!

A really great place, they have a great menu with lots of options, good service and atmosphere. We have been before and the friend we met there, is a regular. Definitely worth a visit.

Always love the Lounge chains. They were able to accommodate 8 of us plus dog for lunch. Lovely food and good service. Nice coffee.

Cozy and warm atmosphere. The staff are very lovely and kind. Very good and fast service. The food is so delicious and fresh. Will definitely come again and try different dishes.

Service was very good. (Always seems to be)Menu is straightforward. A couple of gripes. No soap in the toilet and my wife said the ladies was the same! Considering we live in Covid times and have had it drummed in to us that clean hands is a fundamental like masks? Another thing, is a Brioche bun considered a sandwich?

Consistently reliable. Friendly staff who care. Food was good and delivered promptly. Good value. Have returned and it will become a regular thing.

Today’s breakfast suffered from what I call lazy cook syndrome. Cafe opens at 9. Breakfast staples cooked at 8.30 and left to dry out and desiccate. So to that extent it really is an all day breakfast.I had mentioned this on a previous visit and was assured it was a one off. Sadly not.Pity because it has nice ambience in a great location. Fortunately there are other cafes nearby like Zest for instance. The breakfast there is really excellent even though the ambience is starched checked table cloth rather than trendy film set.To add insult to injury breakfast was on offer as per attached photo. I was charged full price.

Had the most amazing food & service today. We turned up as a group of 8 including a pushchair & a wheelchair & the staff were so quick to accommodate us. A table was quickly arranged. The food was served to is extremely prompt even though it was busy. Everything was perfect & presented so well. I'd highly recommend a visit.
